Received recorded phone message a few weeks ago on Friday at 11:27 AM from Washington DC.

Male voice message left on recorder was as follows:

A matter from the IRS Department. The reason for this call is to inform you that the IRS has issued an arrest warrant against you and your address is under Federal Investigation. So call me back to get the detailed information about your case. It's very important we hear from you today. Thank you.

A few days latter my 97 year old mother received same message but from female.

call answered by my answering machine:

"IRS has filed a lawsuit against you. (no details given)

"to resolve this problem call (360)967-4545"

What I did:

Being a 76 yr old widower, retired college professor, retired to Idaho with an 806 credit score, no debts at all, six figures in the bank, and a retirement annuity from the state university retirement system of approx $55,000 per year, and, having filed with the IRS every year using TurboTax since 1995, I knew this was a b.s. scam.

First, I first looked up the area code 360. It is western Washington state.

Second, I looked up the ScamPulse.com for Boise, ID.

Third, I will send this email.

I hope this helps our cause.

This people are calling saying the irs is going to sue me for a collection when I called the number back ir was a Indian guy trying to ask my name its some kind of scam the number shows up as Starbucks Washington the number is 509-330-4111

Received two phone calls from 202-817-4429 that sowed up only as Washington DC on my home caller ID. I did not answer either call on 2-16-16. They went on to leave a message each time (the same female recorded voice both times). Stating "This is the IBS with your final notice and they will be filing a lawsuit against me and leaving the number 202-817-4429 to call them back on. Obviously, I did not call them back as I prepare my own taxes and do not owe them any money. I live in zip code 68124 in Omaha, NE.

Consumer received a call (706) 250-8338 from someone pretending to be with the IRS. caller stated that the person calling is Dennis Grey saying he owed back taxes from 2010.

We received two calls from someone claiming to be from the IRS. They said that the IRS was going to sue us and that we needed to call them about the lawsuit. The number they left was 206-488-7755. We did not return the call and we notified our local (Cass County) sheriffs office.

The person said that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against us. It is an automated call. When I called back, I could hear a lot of noise in the background. I asked why it was so loud and what was going on and they hung up.

got call from 202-930-1757 today at 3:00pm, stating I owed back taxes from 08 to 13, that I needed a lawyer,

the person was not american speaking, couldn't hardly understand him. Told him to send paperwork, he said he was an officer, and I would be put in jail. Told him to put me in jail......

I have received several calls from someone purporting to be with the IRS telling me I have to call a number(202-817-4380) or face arrest. I have not called them back, but have been in contact with my local ScamPulse.com who gave me this e-mail address and who also advised that the call originated from a "T-Mobile" number in Beltsville MD., zip code 20705

1) A MAN CALLS HISSELF (OFFICER RICHARD BARKER FROM IRS} SAYS YOU HAVE FROUD ON YOUR TAXES . THEY CALL ABOUT 4-TIMES IN 30-MINUITE SEGMENTS. THE PHONE NUMBER IS 352-404-5810. ACORDING TO GOOGLE THE ADDRESS IS A HOUSE IN CLERMONT. FL. 34711. I CALLED THE NUMBER AND ASKED FOR THE PERSON THEY SAID THAT THIS WAS HIM AND WHEN WE GOT TO TALKING THEY ALL THE SUDDEN SAID HE WASN'T THERE. THERE WAS NOBODY BY THAT NAME HERE.

The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file.
