Received a letter offering to buy my property, which is a 4 unit apartment building very close to Washington DC metro stop. The property is worth approximately $2,500,000. The letter had a purchase agreement with my name on it offering to buy the property for $86,815.39. I believe the attempt was to purchase from an older couple that isn't of sound mind. Any property in our area, if there were a vacant lot, is worth more than $300,000. The letter had Price, Payment, Title and Conveyance, Closing, Cancellation, Closing Date and Acceptance sections spelling out the deal and a place to sign at the bottom, with the buyer's signature already on the document. Seems very fishy to me and I believe that company may be preying on people to obtain property for a very low price.
