Last week, my boyfriend and I came to this Kay Jewelers location to browse styles and get ballpark pricing. We were interested in financing options and requested to have our credit checked to see how much we would be approved for, just to get an idea of what was most affordable for us. We were not ready to make a purchase that day. Unbeknownst to us, and without our verbal or written consent, we were both signed up for Kay Jewelers credit cards. The employee who assisted us did not inform us of this, and we did not realize they had opened accounts for us until we received emails from our bank and the credit bureau days later, followed by an email from Kay Jewelers advising us our credit cards were on the way. There was no misunderstanding, they straight up did not inform us. When I confronted the employee on the phone she was very dismissive and told me to “just cancel it.” I’m very aware that is an option, but the point is I was signed up without my knowledge or consent. After doing some research, I’ve come to find that Kay Jewelers and their sister stores have been scamming many others across the country in this same way - past employees have even shared their experiences explaining that they have a quota of a certain # of accounts they are expected to open each day. These business practices are extremely sneaky and deceptive and I hope the ScamPulse.com takes this seriously as it has happened repeatedly with this company throughout the country.

This "CDL" on 4/24 & 4/25/3024 Called from several #'s 630-242-9572; 464-216-0013 Charles Lofton 866-283-0023 Jessica They said calling regarding Kay Jeweler's an account from over 14 years that was charged off. Says they sent ltr a few weeks back (never received). Asked to send to me or email so I

could see the letter claimed since I didn't respond that will pursue (file) legal actions the next day sending via mail. Since I was familiar with the creditor I proceeded to say i was willing to make arrangements but couldn't pay that amount was unemployed. They then said i was making excuses and when I started to tell them not to assume or put words in my mouth he hung up. I called number back and the gentleman on the called said they'd proceed with legal action on 4/24/24 since I signed a contract they can pursue and collect anytime they want. Then called on a different line 4/25/24. Fyi... My bank acct was hacked 4/9/24 and the entire month I've been preparing to close all acccounts associated with the financial institution.

Based on my requesting and receiving a credit report from all 3 credit agencies back around November 2023 and this past week. There is nothing on my report regarding this creditor. The only things on there are my educational loan and a paid off car loan. This "CDL" (the name given) I tried looking up. The only thing I've found of which I was already aware is the truck training co and license. They tried to get credit card payment etc. Initially Charles Lofton 708-412-5310 asked for $683 then said will accept $275. They also asked if there was someone at the address (they gave the address ,I didn't confirm it)

Jewelry is advertised as Kay Jewelers marked down inventory. I assumed it wasn't real considering the price. My complaint is after less than a month my ring lost a set. There is no contact info. for a return or replacement.

An ad for rings on sale at Kay Jewelers came up on my Facebook newsfeed. The rings were beautiful, and I ordered two using my PayPal account. Once submitted, I received an email that my payment went to Shaoyang Aifu Trading Company. I tried to cancel on PayPal and by emailing them but no response.

Facebook ad posing as Kay Jewelers. Web page is identical to official Jay site. Purchased two rings with PayPal. Charge came through as a foreign charge. Upon investigation, I found that the website was a poser and products are counterfeit. Websire is not responding to requests to cancel order.

The website mirrors Kay Jewelers original site; however, when you click on the actual www site, you realize that it says “www.jewelryli.com”. There’s no real contact and it says that if you would like to cancel order, you have 6 hours to do so. I did mine in 10-15min and they still charged me 24hours later. There is no phone number and sellers info states: Hua Naili is a private trading company
