LILYBUG DISTRIBUTION LLC Reports & Reviews (1)

This company (a husband and wife team), based out of AZ, is elusive online, but is selling knock-off items they manufacture (via injection molding)- from molds they have stolen from their old employer, where we have traditionally had our product made. They took intellectual property (a product with a patent), along with our client list, and opened a totally new manufacturing business around it. They reach out to wholesalers and claim this item to be the same as the one that is patented, but with a very low quality material that breaks easily. This has resulted in our product branding being tarnished, reputation, and we get complaints that we cannot field! This is highly unethical and has cost us thousands of dollars in honest revenue, as well as what the cost of a lawyer and court fees will amount to in order to resolve this in full. We are a small business that has been affected and hope that retailers and wholesale companies that do business here take heed! There is another aspect of this situation that is highly unfortunate: This is elder abuse. The owner of the company who's product was knocked-off was relying on the original manufacturer for more than their usual list of duties because she was sick. These employees knew that she had Alzheimers and was slipping, so taking advantage of the situation was easier. This is affecting this woman's only means of a comfortable retirement as she is now hospitalized.
