I am looking for kittens and came across Megan Maine C o o n Home website online and it stated there were 10 week old Maine C o o n kittens and had pictures and descriptions and a price of $650 each which is very low for Maine C o o n s. The site was very professional looking with testimonials, all shots for the kittens and lots of other information. I emailed to inquire and they got back to me ([email protected]) right away and they asked who I was interested in and I told her Romeo. She emailed that it would be $650 + $150 for shipping. I asked if I could get a price break if I took Alphonse too. She said it would be $1350 and the shipping would then be free if I took both and I asked if she would neuter them too and she agreed but that delivery would take up to 2 weeks if they were to get neutered. I agreed and sent $650 through zelle on 7 Sept to the name they provided, Brandon Nix. They asked me to send the confirmation number and I did. About a week later I emailed to check on the kittens and they said they were at the vet and would be ready for delivery on 18 August and I should send the other $650 so they could make the shipping arrangements. I tried to zelle to Brandon Nix again but my bank said I couldn't send more to that name as it would be over the $1000 per recipient limit. They then sent me the name Lakeisha Davis and I got suspicious and emailed them to ask if this was a scam and googled and only found a few adverse comments on reddit but other positive ones. They wrote back absolutely incensed that I would accuse them of that and asked where I saw the comments and I told them reddit and they assured me that they were legitimate and would look into even suing any website that was talking against them. I fell for it and sent the other $650 through zelle to Lakeisha Davis on 16 Sept ([email protected]). That night, I received the contract from Chi Thierry ([email protected]) to sign and return that stated I had purchased 2 male maine [censored] kittens from megan maine [censored] home and they would be delivered at no cost to my home. I signed it and returned it back to the same email that sent it. I was informed that they received the contract. On 18 Sept,, I emailed [email protected] and asked when the kittens would arrive and they told me that they were at the shipper dropping off the kittens and the shipper would get back to me with the delivery schedule very soon. Here is where BRT Consegne (btconsegne@gmail,com) comes in. They sent me a notice that they had the kittens and they would be flying them to arrive in my town that night at 1945 and then be delivered to me. I assumed it was a done deal and set up the room for the kittens and a couple of hours later, I got a notice from [email protected] that the shipper was trying to get a hold of me and couldn't. I then received an email from the shipper, BRT Consegne, that the kittens couldn't be shipped that day because of weather conditions and would they need an air-conditioned crate for transport and that I could rent one for $2120 with a 98% refund at delivery or buy one for $2500. I wrote back to [email protected] and asked what the hell was this and she told me that was between me and the shipper but I would be reimbursed so not to worry. I wrote back to the shipper at btconsegne.com and they told me they couldn't ship the kittens without the crate but not to worry as it would be 98% reimbursed on delivery so I [censored]ically attempted to zelle the money to the name they provided. Michael Sparks ([email protected]) but my bank would only let me zelle $1000 as it was a new recipient. I emailed btconsegne.com and they said to send the $1000 and they would try and find a way to get the other $1120. After back and forth since they wouldn't take a credit card, I asked if they would take venmo and they eventually sent me back a venmo scan code for Marisa Meeks account. I sent the $1120 and they confirmed the payment and that the kittens would be shipped on 19 Sept. On 19 Sept, I get another message from BRT Consegne that the vet inspection reports were out of date and the kittens needed an additional certificate that would cost me $4000 but would be 98% reimbursed upon delivery of the kittens. At this time, I wrote back to them "[censored] YOU" and wrote to [email protected] that they [censored]ing scammed me and I was livid. They wrote back to me and said I was more than a friend and that they would get the kittens to me that day. I wrote back and said I couldn't believe a word they said until those kittens were in my arms. That is the last I heard. All told, I gave them $1350 and BRT Consegne $2120=$3420 of my hard earned money and I feel like an [censored]. I should have stopped after my first instinct. I have all email correspondence between Megan Maine [censored] Home, BRT Consegne, and any other players in this scam if needed. No phone numbers were ever provided.

We thought we were getting a maine c o o n kitten through meganmainecoonhome.com. $650 plus $150 for shipping. We paid this and the seller, Megan / Dutches Davies, Davies Dutches, Davis Dutches (many spellings in her documents, should have been a red flag ) was supposed to be putting the kitten on a plane in Memphis, TN to fly to us in New Hampshire. The morning of the supposed travel we get contact from the shipping company, brt consegne, saying we needed to rent an air conditioned crate for a 98% refundable cost of $1200. The flight is leaving in 15 min! Hurry!
Like fools, we shell out for the 98% refundable $1200 A/C crate rental.
The people on the other end go dark for a while, no word on whether or not the kitty made it on the flight. They don’t answer the phone,
Then we get another message saying something about a USDA-APHIS certificate is needed , $2200 (but 99% refundable!) before our pet will be permitted to travel!
We never intended on spending more than what is a lot of money for us, $800, for a kitten. Let alone $thousands more.
Since we can’t pay, they are holding the supposed kitty at their place with charges accruing to us, the new ‘owners.’
If the lady who sold us the ‘kitten’ was real, she would be concerned that the kitty is being stored at some shipping company, she would go get the kitty. She would answer her phone…
We feel certain, there isn’t a kitten. This is a scam. $2000 that we paid, and they are demanding more!
I can send a photo of the “bill of sale”…
