Norton Imposter Reports & Reviews (84)

The email claimed to extend a virus protection subscription and said my account was being charged. If I didn't wish to continue, I should call 888-392-3857 and ask for a refund. The call went to a man with a heavy accent who said his name was Paul Smith and he would call me back in 10 minutes. I can't find any evidence that my bank accounts or credit cards have been charged.

I wanted to report a scam email I received from Norton. It states I made a purchase when I didn't. I called the number that was listed. 848-253-3378. I was told I needed to download Teen viewer Quick Support. Download on Google Play Store to have it credited from my account. $299 year and $99 for something else. This was the only way to remove the charges. I did not download the App. I did not feel comfortable doing this. I wanted to report this to the Better Business Bureau. I feel it is a scam.

the purchase was for some internet program

I received an email that looked like an invoice saying I purchased something for $499.99. I never made any purchases with Norton. The email had an order number and an invoice number. There was a section in the email that said my card has been charged but there was no card information, I checked all of my accounts and they were fine.

I am still getting SCAM Norton Renewal emails for various amounts. Received the latest SCAM Norton Supposed renewal today May 23, 2022 @ 11:55 AM

Norton scam, trying to say you owe money for a subscription. "Services: all in one protection that includes the vice security to help block hackers." Telling me that I owe them money.

An email arrived that was sent to Norton and bcc'd to me re: an invoice for Norton Protection. I have not used Norton products for well over 10 years. The suggestion to call and claim a refund is suspicious. I did click "report as spam" on my computer, but also want to alert BBB.

Got the following text message from +1 614-316-4029 phone:

"Hi Ilya, Thanks for purchasing Norton 360 annual premium. Charge of $299.88 will appear in your A/c statement as "Norton*360". callus: 888-720-3960."

I received a strange email. It appeared to be from Norton. Regarding a product I did not order. I clicked on the email. Consumer software. Thank you for choosing our service. You just paid $501.76 to Norton. Your order and payment details are below. It gives a transaction key. . I never ordered this. Indicates auto debit from checking account. If I have not made this transaction please call us at 818-477-4673 within twenty four hours of purchase. I did not call the number.

I recently purchased Norton security for my computer $19.99. I received email today from Norton saying I am being charged $499 and contact this number to cancel my subscription. I did, then the scammer asked me to log in and go to “anydesk.com”and download a program then he took control of my mouse and asked me to compete a refund form with name and address and banking name. I got nervous when they asked for bank name and erased all of my addresses and phone numbers. I never entered my bank account #. The refund form actually had ScamPulse.com logo!

I have been receiving emails for the past month on a daily basis. I block the contact but they use a different email address every time. When I called them they wanted to get all my personal information as they said this is the only way to check on the account. I hung up. Here is the content of the email. Dear Subscriber,This is a reminder email to inform you about the annual maintenance contract with norton total security. Your annual contract is set to renew today.Your bank account will be debited with USD 499.99 as you have opted for auto-renew service. For further information reach Support at +1(312) 283-0347

I hope this helps in tracking these people.

The email I received today was from [email protected]. Supposedly, I had 2 hours to respond to an invoice about purchasing Quick Books in the amount of $399.00. I called the phone number +1 (888) 846-5971 for the "Billing Team". The guy who answered was in a call center, it sounded like. He wanted to help me cancel my subscription of which I do not have. He then asked me for my computer screen browser. I immediately told him that was none of his concern. He hung up. It isn't the first time I was targeted, yet for a different company by phone. I have a phone number listed on my YELP page.

I saw an email from a company called Norton. I called the number 4 times. Each time I called and said I wanted to cancel the subscription because I ddnt order this. They kept asking was I by a computer and I need to to by a computer to cancel. When I told them I wasn't by a computer they hung up everytime. It was so loud in the background. I overheard someone in the background asking for a bank account number.

I received a clearly fraudulent e-mail invoice and called the number to report the fraud and was asked to provide my order number and asked for other information - I did not provide it assuming it would be personal or financial. Please stop these guys. Sounded like I reached a call center in India. Area code and number are North Miami Beach Florida

Stated that I authorized a subscriber renewal.

I received an email with the subject line “THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER”, from what looked like a personal email address. I often get spam emails where my email address isn’t even in the to: field. I read through, knew I hadn’t made this order, checked My bank balance, saw nothing missing. I then called the number in the email out of curiosity. The man who answered with “Norton life lock, how can I help you” asked me for the Memo #. I told him I hadn’t made this order, so why was I getting and email. He responded that he needed that number to verify who I was. I said I was going to call the BBB, and he said do that and then call us back, and hung up. I looked up this scam and am now sharing mine here.

received a message that I was being charged for renewing my anti virus account. when I called to say I do not want the service they led me to the refund form. Then they said they put $5000.00 in my account by accident it should have only been $50 so in order to clear this up I should go to Walgreens and buy $4500.00 dollars worth of credit cards and give them the numbers to give them their money back or I would have to deal with the government and the FBI and I could lose all of my money. I called my bank and was assured no money was put into my account.

Was contacted about an auto renewal punt in the amount of $383.22. Call the number 818 (660) 1401 and someone answered. When I told them I wanted to cancel the subscription and not to charge my account, they hung up on me. The email was from Annie Smi and it was signed by JOHN WILLIAMSON.

This place sent me an invoice and claim I ordered these QuickBooks when I did not order it or ask for it online.
