I went online to USA passport which had the government logo to do my application for a passport. When I finished filling out the form, I was told my fee was $ 168.85 for the passport. I paid by debit card. I was not aware this was a scam site until I went to the post office to do the photo and had to pay there. I asked about the payment I made online and was told I only had to pay them. I called the number on my bank statement and was told it was for making sure I filled out the application right. This is was a scam. How do I go about getting my money back?

I searched for US Passport renewal and this site came up and looked legitimate. I went through all the steps of providing my name, social, birthdate, etc. At the end I paid for my passport to be renewed and sent to me. After not receiving it; I called the number on my credit card statement and they asked for more money and I realized it was a scam.
