The scammer reached out initially using the email below. I looked up the company, PE Talent Seek, and found what looks like a legitament website. However, I should have noticed a couple of things: 1) the domain for the website was petalentseek.com vs. petalentseekhr.com, 2) she used the title of "Head of HR" on the email vs. "Senior Recruiting Specialist" on the website, and 3) she did not provide an phone number.

I reponded to the email with a .pdf version of my resume. Laura responded back stating it was not in ATS-friendly format and she guided me to the site - https://advresats.com. I responded to her request with the Word version of my resume which I knew was ATS-friendly.

Laura responded again stating the Word resume did not work and I needed to urgently use this service to get her a ATS-friendly resume. When I read this email, I visited the site she guided me to use and realized they were changing $17 to create an ATS-friendly resume.
