Online Retailer Scam
This was on Sat 11/16/24. It was too late to call their phone number. I assumed I would get a confirmation email. I never received an email confirming my order. On Monday 11/18/24, I decided to call the store number. It was a recording for pest control services. This was concerning so I searched google for pip hardware and a Reddit post said it was a scam site. I looked up the address and it is not that business. I’m usually very cautious about buying online. It did cross my mind that it may not be a legit site, but after looking around the site, it seemed real. No misspellings, lock icon, full descriptions of products, numerous hardware products and descriptions, return policy, shipping policy, extensive privacy policy.
I have not been charged on my credit card yet. I notified my credit card company of the possible fraudulent charge.
Thank you.

Online Retailer Scam
(https://piphardware.com/product/oster-pro-500-48-oz-7-speed-brushed-nickel-blen...⇄ /> The website looked like a legitimate online store so I added the item to my cart, when I went to my cart the design looked legitimate so I entered my debit card, name, email, and address information and placed my order. The resulting page showed a confirmation number which I didn't retain since any legitimate online store will send you an order confirmation email. A few hours later, I still hadn't received an order confirmation email so I went back to their website. The customer support number listed on the page is inactive, "Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) emergency, our phone lines are currently closed." and when I tried to submit a message on their online form, it never resolved.
At that point I felt like something was definitely wrong so I googled "PIP Hardware" and found many many results of other people being scammed by this company too. I promptly cancelled my debit card.
PIP Hardware's website is still active, PLEASE look into this and shut them down. I don't want anyone else to have the same experience I did. Thank you!
