He emailed me the details and "contract". Following morning he called and said he's partner Joe would call.
Joe calls and repeats exactly what Manny had said, and says he needs the business license, insurance and w9 by 2pm, before the 4pm meeting. About an hour later Manny calls again asking about the documents. I told him I would provide it after we met and closed contract. He immediately raises his tone, saying he's been through this before, and they don't have time to waste...

I was contacted by a friend who is a painter and gets leads from Angie’s. This supposedly Manny Lopez reached out to him for a pressure washing job. He referred Manny to me. This supposed Manny is supposedly a sub-contractor for The Providence Group.
They said they had 200 houses that needed the garages washed at one of their developents in Canton (5300 Hickory Flat Hwy)
Another guy Joe Mendez supposedly with The providence group also reached out.
They said they would pay me $40,000
Half up front and half after the job is done.
I shared my W9 and and Insurance cert and Business license with the state of Ga.
They said I needed to raise my coverage on my “each occurrence” and “General Aggregate”. To $3 million each,
My insurance company wouldn’t do it so they recomended me another company out of Shallotte North Carolina a supposed Coastal Insurance (which does actually exist). They set me up with a policy and I sent $1,375 to the account they provided.
I showed up for a 4pm meeting (6/26) and they never showed. I stopped into the sales house in the development and she said the same thing happened to a cleaning company the day before. That’s when I knew for sure that it was all a scam.
They’re basically “shooting fish in a barrel.”
