My mother is elder and she received the attached letter stating she had to respond regarding her property that she currently owns and it scared her.

This letter is to inform you about an important matter regarding the property at (Address) secured by your current lender which is a Private Lender. We reserve the right to revoke allocated waiver after 7 days of receiving this notice.

I keep getting "Final Notice" letter from a business named Private Lender. They said there is an important matter regarding my property. The letters also have a fake check for $199 at the bottom.

A postal mail is sent regarding and important matter about your property at (listing your address) which is secured by (listing a lender) They reserve the right to revoke a waiver after 7 days. They ask to call immediately and gave the number 1-888-751-7775. At the bottom is a blue tear away micro-printed background with your name and address. It has the waiver amount of 199.00 and a signature line. At the very bottom in small print, it says this is not a check and they are not affiliated with (your listed lender). If you call they will likely try to sell you a warranty or other such nonsense.

I received mail with no return address, an envelope labeled with "This notice is time sensitive Information for the mortgagee only Immediate response to this notice requested"

The mail was labeled Final Notice, from Lender Info: Private Lender, used my correct name and address, and instructed me to call immediately or my waiver would be revoked. A toll-free number was provided, and so was a property code. At the bottom was something that looked like a check but wasn't a check, saying "to the order of" and my name and address, allocated waiver $199, property code, and a space for a signature. It's captioned with "not all consumers have previous coverage. Not affiliated ith Private Lender. This is not a check"
