I received a phone message on March 17, 2023 from Deborah Holland claiming to be with Publishers Clearing House. She called from 917-813-6394. She wanted me to call back phone number 929-581-6084 and give code number 4711. Stated I won $5000 a week for life. I did not call the phone number back. Absolutely not. She also told me to check my email or mail. I never spoke with them. I knew it was a scam. I wanted to report the call. I thought I should let you know.

Woman called from the "Publishers Clearing House" to ask why the prize had not been claimed yet. Said we needed to call 888-704-4037 select option #1, enter code 400786, and she gave me a personal in number was 3400, and then I needed to make a $499 payment in order to receive $5.5 million and a Lincoln Towncar. The woman calling was very forceful and demanded we do these things, then told us we were stupid and hung up when we refused.

Had the same call as the one reported in Virginia on here. Scammer said I won 8.5 million dollars and a 2022 mercedes benz from a drawing I won for publishers clearing house. He wanted me to pay $3500.00 for a gold stamp fee for the state of Illinois. When I started asking him for someone else to verify that I had won, he came up with all kinds of excuses that he was the general manager and he was the one that could verify everything. His name is David Reid that called me.

I checked my voice mail and a call came in stating that they were from publisher's Clearing House and that I had won $2and a half million dollars. All that had to do was to provide them with a Bank Account number so that they could deposit the money into my account. I asked them why they weren't coming out with flowers and balloons anymore and they said that don't do that anymore because of Covid 19. I then told them that I did not believe them and they said that they would be sending me a letter saying that I had won.

Scammer called my mom and said that her deceased husband had won money. She said he had passed 4 years ago. Scammer then said her husband had signed a document indicating if he wasn't able to receive the funds they should go to his wife. Scammer then asked if my mom had a car. She said yes but it wasn't available to her at the moment. He then said she needed to go an open a savings account not attached to any other account she had. She asked if it was a scam and he said no. Said he was in the accounting department and just wanted to get her the money. He then told her once she opened the account to call him (Cody Sanchez) back at 1-516-888-3780 before 1pm the same day to give him the information. Mom called me and I told her not to do anything because they would likely take the money she had put in the savings account and she would be out that.

Then said that I would have to pay $47,559.00 in insurance fees, registration fee, and ACH fee. My concern is that he said he got my bank routing number and account number from the IRS (his words).
