A man with a foreign accent called, said his name was Patrick Anderson and said he said you are familiar with Publishers Clearing House. I said I was but had not entered in a number of years. He said I had won $850,000.00 + $5,000 per week for life. What he wanted to know how I wanted to get the money quietly or come and act like it was a surprise. He then wanted me to go get a vanilla card from CVS for at least of $150/dollars. I told him I wasn't going to pay to win anything. Then he hung up on me. I gave him no information. He did have my address.

The scammer said he was from Publishers Clearing House and that my husband (he did not know is deceased) won $5,000/month for life. I told him I am a widow and he said it was mine. He wanted me to send all of my personal information over a scheduled phone call the next day. I talked to my daughter who said it was a scam. So I did not call him. Tom Turner was the name he used.

I've gotten 15 calls from Publisher's Clearing House in the last two weeks. They are foreigners: Mike Henry and something Moler. They say they work for the US Treasury Dept. But they are also CEOs. They said in 2019 I had won $5.5 million and 2021 white Mercedes Benz, with 6 months of Geico insurance, which will be delivered on a flatbed truck. They said they'd been looking for me for two years. They said they paid the Better Business Bureau $150,000 to find me. I said the ScamPulse.com doesn't do that. They said the Better Business Bureau wouldn't tell me if they were. They said the IRS told them to drop it, but they were determined to find me to give me my money. They want me to go to Walmart and buy a $500 Vanilla Card. The card is for the people who will come. I said I don't have $500, so they said they would pay $200, so all I would have to pay is $300. I'm also supposed to get $100,000 cash in a locked briefcase. They said they would not scam me out of money as they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who died to deliver us from our sins and they go to church every Sunday. They said they could see that I had been scammed before. I told them they are the scammers.

I got a call from Taylor from Publisher's Clearing House, saying I had won $1.8 million dollars and a Mercedes Benz. He said the car would be delivered on a flatbed truck. He asked if I was marrid or lived alone. He asked my boyfriend if we had a checking account so we could deposit the check. He said it wouldn't cost us anything but I should buy a $100 Vanilla Gift card to give to the lawyer when he came to the house to register my winnings with the government. He asked if I wanted it kept confidential or put on the news. He kept saying: "this is no joke. how does it feel to win a million dollars, this is for real. this is not a scam. stop wasting my time. I want the number off the card". He told me to buy the card from Family Dollar Store or Walgreens. He offered to say on the phone while I went to get the card. I said it's a landline, then he wanted to know how long it would take to get the card and how many miles to the Dollar Store. He asked that 3x. I asked where are you calling from, but he wouldn't answer. He was very upset when I hadn't purchased the card. He called later and talked to my boyfriend. He said, "I guess it's between you and me. Do you want this money or not? You could quit your job." He had an accent. His tone started out friendly but became more hostile the more times he called. The caller ID said Jamaica.

I received a call at 4:20pm on Dec 30th regarding my winning the PCH sweepstakes of a million dollars and a free car. I asked him how much I had to pay up front in order to claim my winnings. He said "nothing". I said "I don't have to get a green dot card to send money? He said "no". He then started giving me my address and phone number and my full name. He had a lot of the info of my identity but when he got to needing my SS number in order to complete the paperwork and told him I don't give my SS number out to anyone especially on the phone. Before we got to the SS number request, I asked him for his phone number so I could call him back to verify his legitimacy and he gave it to me and I called that number back and he answered. I have forgotten his name but he did give me a name.
