Puppy Scam Reports & Reviews (513)

My fiancé and I were looking for a Boston terrier puppy. We searched google for reputable breeders. We found a website called keilanibostonterriers.com and we contacted them about a puppy listed on their website name Ruby. The website looks legit. We had agreed that we wanted Ruby, but we were told that she was AKC registered and if we wanted the puppy, we had to pay a 400.00 deposit to start the paperwork to have us listed as her owners through the AKC before they could make the sale. They sent us an email with several photos of the puppy, made us give them our contact information and address. They then began texting my fiancé' and telling him how to make the payment. After several attempts, the 400.00 went through PayPal to Juan Zepeda- jzepeda220. Then guy who told us his name is Justin Wayne, told us his wife never received our payment, however it was confirmed that the money was sent, and the money was gone for our bank account. They are still telling us they have not received the money and that we probably sent it to the wrong person, however the PayPal username was linked to the same email address that was linked to the request for money sent to me from Juan Zepeda. We requested through PayPal that our money be declined and returned, and they refused. They will not answer us. They told us they are located in Tampa, Fl. However, we got a guy on the phone one time, and he sounded Russian. We are heartbroken over this, and we pray these people are never able to scam another person whether they are legit breeders from Tampa or not.

They had me send them gift card info for tracking info for a new dog that never arrived

She advertised yorkies for adoption. I Contacted her through Facebook messenger. Agreed on a puppy. She wanted a deposit of $350 which I gave her through zell to hold for me until July 12th 2023. She then said she cancelled the payment because of zell

Problems and asked for me to send again through apple pay. I Told her no and I would wait 24 hours since my bank acct did not show a credit back just the withdraw of the $350. she then said the next day it was an error she did received the payment after all and it was never cancelled. Told her I wasn’t comfortable with this adoption and wanted my deposit back. She had assured me she wasn’t a scammer just wanted good homes for her dogs. She then told me her daughter had An accident and she was upset about it and didn’t get around to do the refund. Later she Then told me husband having troubles again with zell and to be patient. I Gave her 24 hours and messaged her. She never even looked at the messages and removed me from the yorkie group which you can only get to when she sends a private message to that person. Reported to zell and also tried to post a comment on her page which she also deleted.

Saw puppies on Facebook. Messaged Teacup Poodles, Maltese & Maltipoo Puppies For Adoption's. Jacky White answered asking which puppy I was interested in, I answered Jason.

Jacky stated she needed my name, address, phone number and email address. I gave my information. We are asking $750 as adoption fee on both of them. I then asked what the process was and she answered what the process was and we will need an initial fully refundable deposit of $350 to start up with the paperwork and reservation. We use Zelle or cashapp. I sent the money through Cashapp. Jacky stated they deliver Fridays, Saturday or Sundays. Trust me, it will go smoothly, You will end up recommending us to family and friends. I was skeptical but proceeded to pay another $250.00. We agreed on Sunday delivery at 12:00. I waited until 1;00 and messaged Jacky wondering where they where. Jacky answered my husband must be stuck in traffic

Let me get a hold of him.at that point she went off line. I was SCAMMED!!!

I did not research like I should. It was a puppy scam. I was asked to send 450.00 to *** husbands Venmo account to get the adoption papers started and to stop her from taking other offers from other families. Then she told me that I venmo'd the wrong way she wanted me to do a friend's and family purchase. So she wanted me to send the rest of the money which would be $250.00 I told her no that I would be picking up the dog in 2 days and would not send more money. The day I was supposed to pick up the dog. She would not reply an address to me. I didn't get another message until later that night. She said she lived 3.5 hours away in kirksville, mo. So I was not going to drive there that late at night. She said her husband was in the hospital and her son would bring me the puppy the next day (June 19th 2023) When I woke up this morning I messaged her and asked what time he would be coming. She ignored the question then said the agency would be getting a hold of me by email in a few minutes. I asked what agency she said for delivery, I said I thought your son was bringing her? She said no, answer your email. I got a very strange email that said send 400.00 for refundable pet insurance. I messaged her and said absolutely not. I looked up the company and Google said it was a scam. I asked for a business number and business address. I got no answer. I told her to just send my refundable deposit back because I was done with the whole thing. She still tried to get 250.00 and she would pay the other 150.00 for delivery. I said again,no,send me my refund. She said no she would not. That she already spent the money on the dog. I have tons of screenshots from our conversation. I just hope this helps someone else out. I got really excited about the beautiful puppy and didn't use common sense.

This site is trying to scam people saying we can adopt Pekingese puppies from them. They are showing pictures of the puppies they "have" and then trying to act like they are in the area close to where we live. The admin of this site have other peoples photos as their profile pictures too.

They say they are here in the states, but after I did some digging it looks like they are in Africa.

Tried to buy mini schnauzer online. Was told to pay $700 + $200 for flight. Sent money to some gentleman who had a phone number in Boston. Shengfeng Wu 781-960-8620. Felt that it was a little fishy. Tried to ask the seller to provide proof of actual dog and that they were not scam and they repeatedly said it wasn't and was pushing for me to sign a contract. Which i didn't do. I wrote an email regretfully withdrawing my offer to buy their dog and seller now refuses to answer my email.

Hi purchased a teacup Chihuahua puppy online. When the seller put me in contact with the transportation company, they then attempted to get me to pay an additional $1450 in order to secure transportation. When I told him that I would not pay that amount and cancel the sale as well as requested the refund. I was told that I would receive a refund within 30 days or by the end of the month which would’ve been the end of May 2023. I have continued to attempt to contact them at the phone number where payment was made, payment was made through Apple Pay. I have contacted the phone number associated with the Apple Pay with no response. I have also contacted Apple Pay to report the scam. In addition, I have filed a fraud police report with Wichita police department case number 23C058310. As of the time of this report, the website is still up and running.

I contacted the seller about a husky on sale. With much communication I singed a contract that states after I paid the 700 and with 2 available coupons the dog would be delivered via by plane and the puppy transport to my door. After I paid the 700 and they claimed he was in transport and at the airport with pictures of proof the puppy in a cage I was contacted by a transport person about needing money for insuring the dog’s transportation. My contact never disclosed the additional 800 fee for insurance. After trying to prove my situation I was threatened by the 3rd party via many emails claiming I am abandoning the dog. After hrs of trying to prove my contract does not state that I need to pay a ridiculous insurance fee I stopped communicating.

We were inquiring about 2 puppies. They adked if it would be pick up or delivery. We explained that it would be pick up, and that ee have family in "Nevada" near them, and asked if they could visit the puppies

We were told we needed to send $300 for 1 and $500 for 2 to reserve visitation with them. Also guaranteed our money back.

I told them, this sounds like a scam and I am reporting you.

They also wanted payment through Zelle, cash app or apple pay. All non traceable

Advertisement on Facebook about adopting Maltipoo puppies. Went to the website and called phone number listed 5183032682 and spoke with someone who stated he is Dr. David Aholu. He stated adoption fee and shipping is US $525. The agreement was to Zelle $250 to [email protected] and the rest once tracking number for shipping was sent and confirmed by shipping company.

I received a tracking number and a call from tracking company claiming they are called courierset asking for more money (1500US) for a shipping crate rental. Thats wheh i truly realize this was a scam.

I also tried calling in the phobe number that the alleged company called me from 5594256384 and it was a Google number that the person did not answer.

I saw an ad on Facebook for teacup Yorky puppies. I sent a message as requested via messenger, got a response within 10 minutes. I told the woman I was interested in teacup Yorkies. She sent me a picture of the three they had left. Of course I wanted one! I asked her how much it was. She said $500 which is far cheaper than any other place I’ve seen. That’s a reasonable price for puppies here your 4 1/2 hours away from him on a flight. Can’t spend a whole day driving there. I’m driving back and she said we could have the puppies delivered tomorrow but it’s an extra $50 for shipping delivery. Great I said .

She wanted to collect the whole $550 upfront. I said no offense ma’am, but I’m not sending a total stranger $550. Is there another way? So she says oh I know people could get real jobs but they rather scam other people. And she said she was only 46 which honestly I don’t understand what does that have to do with anything but I said so I’m sorry then she said I could register you and send you the delivery registration form and then once you get that you’ll know the dog is going to be delivered so you can send me $350 and pay the other $200 when the dog shows up I said yes thank you so much but again not sending water mamas money to a child stranger. There’s another one going on Facebook but I he only wanted 100 dollars for the puppies so there’s something on there I’ve been looking on breeder sites and they’re $3000. It’s just paste to be careful.

I was contacted by Katie Lynn by facebook instant message. She is an admin for French bulldog puppy group. she said she has a french bulldog for sale ($1200). she sent me photos and videos and i said i will purchase and pick her up. She asked for $600 deposit via Zelle (404-8589307 under name of Cael Bright, her husband) . i did sent the money. She sent a transfer letter (with AKC logo) with birthdate (fake) and vet's name and phone (fake). When we were ready to pick up, she said her husband had heart attack. she said she has to send the puppy by carrier even i said i can pick up. then she sent me the fake transportation website (mildeilvery.online) with tracking (WPC06527435086). She said her husband died and need the money right now for rest of $600. I said no. Then she said she will not pay for refundable insurance to assure safe delivery of dog. I got an email from [email protected] saying that it misses the insurance paper. It said it is 98% refundable and it is $990 dollars and accept cashapp, apple pay or zelle. I asked seller for refund but she keeps saying i abandoned the puppy so i won't get it.

- De Pere, WI, USA

I saw a puppy I wanted to purchase. I contacted Jacky White by messanger. I sent $350.00. She emailed me 2 documents to fill out. Filed them out and sent back to her by email. Sent another $250.00 for delivery and insurance. Was told her husband would deliver puppy on Sunday June 4th 2023. Kept in contact with messanger and email. Waited until 1 o clock and message and she stated she would get ahold of her husband that he must be stuck in traffic. Then her messanger account went dead. Couldn't contact her by messanger anymore.
