I was told about a website for Yorkshire Terriers and I accessed the website on Thursday, 7/15/2021. With a couple of exceptions, website was very informative about the breed, and had tips about the food to feed, how to housebreak, etc. I lost my 8 year old Yorkie on 7/3/2021 due to congestive heart failure, so I was still grieving heavily. I accessed website, looked at puppies and selected a puppy named Rheja. All instincts told me it could be a scam, but I went ahead anyway. I was contacted via text message the next morning and asked if I wanted to proceed with purchasing and I told them I did and got excited. They said they had to change over ownership papers to me before they could put her on a flight to me which should have been today. When I became hesitant, they became high pressure, like send it now. They did not want payment by credit card; Cash App, Pay Pal, Apple Pay. I am not good with phone apps, so they told me how to access the app and what to do to send the money through the app. I am attaching form they sent for me to sign; They also sent me pictures of the puppy, her supposed parents, and his drivers license. The drivers license is a picture of a white male but the guy who said he was the person listed on the driver's license had a foreign accent, like middle eastern. He texted me with info several times and pretty much hounded me into learning how to use Cash App and had me send a screen print once I paid. After I paid, they sent this form to me for change of ownership. This dog was supposed to be on a flight to me here today, but I don't think she's coming. They change the website to make it look like certain dogs have been sold and they have not done that for the dog that I supposedly bought. It is my own fault. I'm usually more aware, but I just lost my Yorkie two weeks ago today and I'm crushed by it. I was acting with my heart and not my head, which I usually do. I just tried to call them and now they won't answer my call, but I did leave a message for them that might hurt their tender ears. Broken hearted again, but as long as I'm breathing, I will learn something new. I just learned something that has always been said, but I never experienced it. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Lesson learned. I hope I can get my money back, but I doubt it. At 70 years of age, I just put myself in a bind that I didn't need to be in. Like everything else that has happened to me, I will come out on top. Please help me get these [censored]...
