Received a call from 786-988-9131 saying that a complaint was filed against someone I knew and that they needed to give me the information immediately so that the person could get in contact with the company. As they had just starting talking with there long winded, fast talking speech, I quickly stopped her and asked her to identify herself. Jaime from Regional Locating Services. I later asked for her last name, Sanders and as I recognized the area code I asked her numerous times what part of Florida she was in, but she refused to answer. I continuously said you realize how general everything is that your telling me right? I asked her to explain to me how she obtained my phone number and she said through the records of the person she was looking for. She kept saying she couldn’t provide me with the company name or details of the complaint. Yet when I grilled her about legal implications for accepting the information she was trying to provide me, she divulged that it was not a criminal complaint and most likely a debt collector. I finally said to her towards the end, you haven’t even asked me once to identify myself. So then she asked whether or not I was the person she was looking for, but I did not answer and then changed the subject. I finally agreed to write down the information...1-866-263-5403 and file #******* As soon as she gave me this information she quickly said call that number before a complaint is filled against you, you have 2 hours and then immediately hung up. Wait, this whole conversation you said there was a complaint and now you say before a complaint is filed? I immediately tried calling the number back, but got a disconnected message. Needless to say, I will not be calling the phone number she provided me with.
