Apartment listed on Craigslist with text phone number. Received a text message and was told,
“You can view it any day between 5 am and 8 pm, you must first prove your credit score of 400+ on our official website. It's $1. This fee refundable.
Do you want it?”
They asked for email even though they contacted me & told me they wanted to run a credit check before showing the apartment and finally sent me an email. I clicked a link in the email and was redirected to credit score IQ. Verified his email was not associated with anything official & lacked proper punctuation. Told him I was going to pay using my prepaid Visa card. Didn’t get a response didn’t enter any personal information

Apartment listed on Craigslist with number. Called the number, left a message and received a text. “Landlord” wanted to run a credit check before showing the apartment and sent me an email. I clicked a link in the email and was redirected to TransUnion. I filled out my personal info but did not pay for any services.
