I saw the ad on indeed and applied. I was contacted via email and had two phone interviews, my references were contacted. The agreement was a month probationary period where I would inspect packages delivered to my house. After the probationary period I would receive payment for the first month worked then I be paid on a biweekly schedule with commission being added for each inspected package. I would receive a package that was mailed to my address under someone elses name, allegedly my name was not on the package to protect my privacy, open the outer package and view the conents, take pictures, upload them to a dashboard. A shipping label would be provided which I would then print and drop the package off at UPS, then provide a picture of the shipping receipt. Most of the items shipped to me where high in value, $300-700 which convinced me of the ligitimacy of the job. They marketed it as a type of quality control for third party sellers on Amazon. Since the packages were high in value and the destination on the label they gave was an Amazon center it seemed to make sense. When the probationary period came to an end I was locked out of the dashboard and my emails and calls were no longer responded to. Payment was never received

What can we do about this? I’m in the same situation with these people! Today was supposedly my pay day. No pay and no response!

I was approached for a job that seemed to be legit. It was listed as a remote assistant at a base salary of $2,000.00 with opportunities of bonuses. I went through the application process talked with a female over the phone and got hired. Their website seemed to be legitimate with in-depth details of everything that needed to be done, videos about the company, pictures of the “owners.” I started receiving packages and shipped them off. It came time for the “probationary period” to end for me to become a permanent employee. They asked for all my identification information such as W-2 forms etc. and it was also time for me to be paid, when I wasn’t paid I started contacting my “supervisor” and I wasn’t receiving any response. When I called it would ring once then straight to voicemail. At that point I knew something was wrong, and didn’t send the documents for the W-2 information. They do have my address/ ID/ and bank account for direct deposit. Since I just gave birth to my second child, and also have a 1 year old I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity for me to be able to take care of my children and spend time with them as well.

I applied for a work from home job on the job board, Indeed for a FT/PT Custmer Service Representative. I received an email for a totally different company offering me a job as a FBA Assistant Intern. I sent all my information, it was an online application and an actual job board page that was made. I checked the website and called the business number and it was not a real company.

I still have a package in my possession. I was supposed to get paid on the 1st of July . I didn’t give my account information out. It was always the same person getting packages. Now I am locked out my account no response from them.

I have been working for these people for a month now. Was supposed to get paid yesterday. Now I can't even login. I have reached out and no response. I still have 4 packages in my possession. I do not know what to do.

Did you still have packages in your pocession

I was approached through Email and then offered a position with the company in April. They sent me an official offer letter in which I had to sign and everything. They then sent me packages and I followed the instructions on the form they sent me to send the packages off. The contract I signed said they would pay me $3000 every month for 80 packages sent off. This month was to be my "trial month" and that I would get that first paycheck if it worked out for me or not. I am a single mother who is barely making it and this sounded like the perfect opportunity to make money while spending time with my kids. Now I am extremely broke and have no way to provide for my kids. I was let go as part of the big layoffs with Godaddy and was really looking forward to working with this company. I have not gotten any payment, it has been over a month now. They booted me out of the portal and I cannot get a hold of the woman who hired me. I kept all receipts and all emails as well.

Was approached to preform a work from home job. After applying and signing an employment agreement, I started work. I would receive packages, inspect them, file a report, then ship them back out. After a month of work it was time for a paycheck, but they stopped responded to all calls and emails and I did not receive any payments.

The scammer posed a fake job offer in which packages were sent to this person they were due to check the package and send it back out to a different address. They were promised pay at the end of the 30 day trial period, but the initial contact person never responded. This is a parcel mule scam!

- Las Vegas, NV, USA

They reached out through email offering me the position. I did speak with an Amy Shaw she was the on running the company it seems I was told I’d get packages received to my home and that I’d just be verifying the product was there and once done I send it out. I was told I’d be on a month trial and once that trial came up I never received payment for my job I’ve called and emailed and no one has gotten back to me. I was suspicious at first due to the fact that it was 3,000 salary for something very simple. I’m reporting due to the fact because of the information they collect and I don’t want others getting affected by it.

Scammer would ship parcels to my house for me to open inspect, take pictures to add to their "dashboard" in good condition then add a out going shipping label via https://cp.themerchantly.com/user/login.php. I used my time and gas to drive parcels to UPS.

Pay date was listed for April 28th, then cut off all communication. A full month.

I received an email offer. Once I accepted I got a phone call with instructions. They asked for a picture of my id and the address the packages would be shipped to. Supposed to get paid 3000 a month and 30 dollars for every extra package sent. I was supposed to get paid 3000 after the probation period and then 1500 every 2 weeks.

This happened to me as well. Same exact scenario. Have you contacted law enforcement? Any recommendations on how to proceed?

- Charlotte, NC, USA

I was sent an email with an opportunity to receive packages $50 each between 10-30 a month as a quality inspector for a 3rd party company “The Merchantly” who was supposedly a go between for small businesses and Amazon and other online retailers. I was sent a 25 page info package and candidate form. Told to apply if interested and I would have 2 follow up phone interviews. Website looked legit and emails and paperwork were extremely legit. Seems too good to be true. I had a phone interview where they went over FAQs with me and seemed professional. Started researching and they even contacted my references on the application. No ScamPulse.com logo on website and can’t find anything about them scam or otherwise. Feels too shady I’m stopping correspondence with them now.

I received a job offer through email from "amazon warehouse llc" and i followed the link to complete the application. I received a follow up email that i was chosen and that i needed to electronically sign the form as the agreement. Then i received an email with a link to set up an account to access the taskbar in which i would get assignments to complete. The job was to get packages , check for damage, make a report and then send off. I did send a picture of my license When i was asked. I completed about 3 tasks and when it came time for payday they said the check was in the mail and then i never got it or heard from them again and all communications were disconnected.

This was a work from home Package Inspector position supposedly. I checked labels and package labels. Most were items from Home Depot and things like that. I was told I would be paid $1500 month plus $50 every box inspected and shipped. When payday came in 30 days, they looked me out of the portal, the phone number now is no good, won't return emails and was never paid according to signed contract. I gave them no bank info but I did give my basic info.

- Albany, GA, USA

The job was on indeed but under a different name West Tarvern, LLC for a at home fulfillment job. I had to do an application with all my personal details and they got my bank account number so that I could have my check direct deposit which never happened. They sent packages and shipping labels when it was time. I spent money uploading the shipping labels. So called manager Frank S****** was always inboxing asking questions about packages that I had already sent off but when asked about my payment I was blocked from the website and he quit answering my calls. Scam scam scam I worked with those packages for a month Nov to Jan and still haven't received anything.

I was applying for jobs on indeed and Mary Shelton emailed and called about a reshopping job. The job was to pay 3000 base pay. Then after the first month you will reship 80 or more boxes a month. I have not received payment. I have called and emailed and have been locked out.

- Tupelo, MS, USA

I experienced the same thing with Mary Shelton. Shipped packages for a month and when it came time to pay, I heard nothing from her. I have been locked out of the Control Panel that was used for updating packages.

I was e-mailed about a job that I had applied for. I am caustious when applying to any job. Thankfully, they only got basic information from me . I checked out their website and it seemed legitamate.I did one final test and their phone number was disconected.

- Tupelo, MS, USA

I received a call from a lady by the name of Mary Shelton with a Chinese ascent advising me that my resume had been received for the package handling position and that they wanted to give me the position. I had filled out so many applications via Indeed that I was not keeping up with exactly what job positions were reaching out. Mary went into detail as to what I would be doing as a package handler. She advised that I would receive a package at my house. Upload photos, package slips, and receipts into the system and mail the package out with the shipping label provided via the system. She advised that I would receive a set pay of $3,000 after my trial period that the packages would increase with an opportunity for incentives after my 30-day trial period. I excitedly accepted the position as it was work from home and sounded very easy to do. After I accepted, she said that I would receive an email with the employee agreement and instructions on how to operate the system. I received an email from Mary with the employee agreement and system instructions. The system was called the Control Panel. I created my user name and password, browsed the Control Panel which also requested account and routing information on the profile page. The Control Panel was very simple and user friendly. I completed the employee agreement form which requested my accounting and routing information along with a picture of my Photo ID. I returned the form via email and waited a few days to receive my first package. I did as the instructions told me which were to mark the package as received, remove all original labels, open the package, upload pictures of item to the control panel and request the shipping label via the Control Panel. After a few moments a shipping label would appear in the Control Panel, which I downloaded, attached it to the package and shipped it via FedEx, USPS, or UPS. A few times it would take longer than normal to receive the shipping label or even a package at times (I was told it would be slower than normal during my trial period). When payday arrived, I noticed that I had not received a direct deposit. I reached out via email and was advised that the deposits are usually deposited around 10:00am or next day, depending on the bank and to ensure all packages had been shipped as she had to report the outgoing box to the appropriate department. I also realized that the Control Panel I was using would not allow me to log in with the credentials I created. I reached out to Mary via email again letting her know of my technical difficulties. She asked for a screen shot of what of the Control Panel to provide to the technical department for troubleshooting. I received a "thank you" reply. This was the last time I heard from Mary.
