Rizi Khan Reports & Reviews (3)

I saw an ad for a marketing internship for a company called Five 7 Four in South Bend, IN on LinkedIn, applied, and was notified that I had an interview. During the interview, the office was strange, with no signage, very brightly painted walls, a pool table, and pop music playing in the background. All employees were very young (all seemed to be younger than 25). I was told to fill out a questionnaire for my interview that asked me strange questions such as "what are five things you would bring on a desert island?". Everything was very unprofessional. The scheduling email for my interview said that a man named "Mr. Khan" would be conducting my interview and I found him on LinkedIn. However, the man who interviewed me looked completely different and insisted on asking me pretty personal information, especially regarding my ethnic background. During the interview, the man who interviewed me claimed that the company had 100+ locations all over the world and had clients that included Miami Heat, Disney, Apple, and the World Wildlife Foundation, among other big name companies and organizations. However, the job postings on LinkedIn indicated that the company was brand new, so I knew something wasn't right. Additionally the company's name "Five 7 Four" is South Bend's area code. Why would this company have 100+ locations worldwide but be named after a small city? I later heard that the company changed its name to Roked, Inc. and Global Pinnacle. Job postings and websites have all been removed except for Global Pinnacle's website. I have been suspicious of Rizi Khan for a while now and saw that he moved to Nevada to start a business called Team Ready Set, which lists identical job postings as Five 7 Four. Team Ready Set's website also lists the same clients that Five 7 Four's website indicated. As per LinkedIn, Rizi Khan seems to target young students from community colleges with low-paying retail jobs to work for him/help to recruit people. It seems as if Rizi Khan is scamming people and I do not want anyone to get hurt, lose money, etc.

Rizi is a MLM ISO (multilevel marketing independant sales office) The actual company is Credico USA and they have several different clients that they do direct marketing for in Walmart’s, Best Buy’s or door-to-door marketing. You’ve probably seen them, or Bison or Smart circle in one of these places trying to sell you cable subscriptions. I can assure you any of these independant offices are lying and using the overall client list from Credico and claiming it as that specific offices list of achievements. Many of the clients Rizi would mention we did not work with nor did Credico. In reality one of those clients, recently Comcast cable, are assigned to the office manager as their only client to sell. The office is allowed to branch off to other locations and incorporate under completely different names to sidestep bad reviews on Glassdoor or to keep several different companies contained under one owner. From my time with the company I witnessed and was a part of meetings that explained the process of misinforming people of the opportunity with the company, using systems to lure prospects towards the company that would take advantage of someone’s desire for money or personal freedom or fame. They would lie about the schedule, the number of days you would typically work and the average salary of everyone, to include managers and assistant managers. The office manager gets 40-50% of the individual sales people’s commissions and their only job is to constantly recruit and hire to prop up the idea that this industry is continually growing. We would interview 5-10 people in an afternoon and tell them all we were only looking to fill a few spots. We would do this every day. We would tell them it was for a management training program which didn’t exist. The reality was that everyone was going to do sales everyday, in a Walmart for instance, and was expected to get several new customers everyday. If they did, they would be allowed to take an interviewee out to watch them do sales and be tested for compatibility. Everyone was compatible with this job but we made people work for it so they convinced themselves they wanted this job above all else. Most people ended up quitting. I’m some cases they would promote people to stop them from leaving or to show everyone else that it was possible to get promoted. After working there for a year and getting promoted to assistant manager I was sent to Miami with 6 people. We were supposed to be opening a new office that I was going to run. That never happened. Everyone quite at the end of the second month and I was left without a place to sleep and not enough money to get back to Chicago ( this was were Rizi’s first company K&A Global was located). Rizi was undoubtedly disliked by most of our employees, myself and the other managers, he was even left a personal, scathing letter from our Vice President Justin Cobb for being deceitful and untrustworthy. He was also accused of sexual assault by a former female employee though that never went beyond her accusations. Although, having lived with the guy the entire time, he was very interested in any female attention, had slept with coworkers before and admitted to bring her into our apartment the night before while I was sleeping in the living room. I was furious he had snuck someone in our apartment but he was scared of the implications and her accusations. All this is to say that of all the people I have worked with or been friends with, Rizi Khan by far, was the least trustworthy, most manipulative and deceitful person i have meet and I am profoundly disappointed I ever trusted him.

Now the company is named ACME consulting. It is the same direct sales company but Rizi seems to have moved and set up another company, Team Ready Set, in Nevada. The 100+ location claim seems to be because this is part of a network of direct sales companies that are implicitly contracted to a parent company. In my brief time there they had magazines circulating with the names of employees of other companies in this network that stated the parent company is Credico.

For anyone wondering, this is Rizi's linkedin profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rizi-khan-a16a57132/

Unfortunately I don't know who runs the one in South Bend now.
