Sounds like everyone is still on this goons trail. The Chicago PD reached out to me to get some information on Ryan Himstedt. Gave them everything I knew. This guy deserves to be behind bars for as much as he preys on people. He threatened me after he realized I was onto him and was trying to get in touch.

We were taken by this crook as well. He was supposed to come out to our place as part of a group community deal via Facebook through Jeffery Smith who was supposedly part of our local group. He lied and said his father-in-law owned "Coastal Clean Air" which was a local 5-star rated heating and air service and made it feel legit. The deal was $200 for a Negative pressure machine to clean unlimited supply vents, intake vents, AC unit inspection, and dryer vent inspection. But I got a call that Ryan and he said "This is Ryan with 5 Star HVAC Cleaning", I thought he was just stating that they were 5-star rated, but come to find out there is another local company called that, which he is not affiliated with either. When he showed up he went straight to our attic and said that we had mold and needed some disinfecting foam for the coils, Microban mist to kill the bacteria and mold through the system, and a UV light to keep it from coming back, which would add another $400 (at discount) to total $600. He sent a bunch of pictures of "him installing and cleaning" things, and we paid him with a credit card which he begrudgingly accepted instead of his demand for cash. He said he would be back to do the rest of the stuff. I reached out over and over for a receipt so I could see the breakdown of the work, and it took a while but he finally sent me a handwritten receipt that said, "Peak Performance Air and Crawlspace", which again sent enough red flags to dig deeper. I finally was able to talk to him and ask question and he said that all the things that he came here to do in the first place were not needed because our house was so new. We looked at the credit card charge to see what it said and it came back as " T&M Supplies Inc”, when we Googled that company, they are not an HVAC system-related company, they are a firearms and ammunition company down in Florida. We had a 2nd party come in and they said our system did not have any of the issues he said we had, and that what he did open up our system to have future issues unless i have that fixed now :( Needless to say, we disputed the charge and are trying to spread the word so others don't get caught up in the scam too. We communicated with him via the same number: ‭ 1 (336) 687-9880‬, which is how I found this thread. He said that he would offer this wonderful deal to others we refer to him, so pretty sure that we could get him to show up somewhere if we wanted if there are authorities looking for him. Either way hope he gets caught!

The ads are showing up under a guy named Dustin Ulmer in different Facebook community groups around Birmingham, AL. However, Ryan is the one who contacts you that he is on his way. He goes by Ryan Albert, using his wife's last name, instead of Ryan Himstedt. In the state of Alabama, all HVAC services, including a filter replacement, require an HVAC license. I highly recommend only receiving quotes on first-time appointments for any house service. That gives you time to research, regardless of the timeliness, the "great deal", or the pressure you feel to get this done.

What a scam! Came in and said duct work needed to be replaced! At least he got someone to do that part! He goes by Ryan Albert #336-687-9880 and 336-604-4037. I was taken and the harassment I continued to get from him when I called and asked when he was going to finish up the job! Wow, I really hate that I was fooled! Dang!

Someone under the name of Alice Marlow posted on my neighborhood FB group about a promotion for cleaning duct services. I message her privately and she scheduled an app. She said she worked for Home Air Solution (local legit company with a 5 star rating on google). Ryan showed to my house, said he could not clean my ducts because I needed to replaced them all. He quotes me $4700 for the job including a $2500 discount. But here is where I caught him. The paper he gave me was under Peak Perfomance Air Quality. So I message Alice on FB questioning her about why she sent a different company here, and I called Home Air Solutions, and they said there were no appointments under my name.
Kept questioning Alice on FB and she ran out of excuses. Reported her fb account.
Ryan had the audacity to text me the next day asking what we decided about the service, and That’s when I google his phone number and found this website. Glad I caught it before it was too late.

All I wanted was a routine duct cleaning… I reached out to my community on a local page - we always try to support local - & ended up here. Same story. But it needs to stop. I have tried to reach out to some of you who left email addresses, but haven’t received any responses. If anyone has information and/or documentation, or is already working with law enforcement in SC or NC (or wherever else he has been), please reach out via email so we can work together rather than continuously reinventing the wheel: [email protected]

Hired him to remove and replace insulation. He also said HVAC return ducts were bad. Insulation appeared to be done ok but the installers used the wrong size duct tubing and left my returns unattached in the attic. Air conditioning was running 24 hours. Had my HVAC company come over and they showed me the poorly installed and incorrect materials used. Ryan charged me $555 for work that now needs to be redone completely. Have reached out several times with no response. Will be going to small claims court. Also, thinking about pursuing criminal charges for fraud.

My experience was the same, Ryan "nice guy" came into out home and said we had a mold problem. He installed uv lights that he gave us a "discount". The elementary invoice he gave us should have alerted me but he was so convincing. Although the invoice was from Dynamic Air Services with an email of [email protected] there was no address or phone number on it. When I questioned thru messenger the legal company name I was given two different answers this really got me digging into this issue. I was given Air Mavericks of NC (with Mavericks being spelled incorrectly and as an after thought I was given Dynamic Air Services. This criminal walked away with $950.00 from two senior citizens. I messaged the original Facebook site where they were advertising but I am no longer

Was told I had mold, ducts needed replacing - needed the light etc SAME AS ALL OF YOU! $2440 with $1220 deposit. They would be back the next day to do the work. He was good! I’ll give him that and I’m not easily fooled. When I was writing him the deposit check, he said please make that out to my Girlfriend “Maria Albert”. I did, but about an hour after he left it dawned on me that I needed to investigate the legitimacy of his company so I searched “Dynamic Air Systems” and it quickly led me here to this site and within minutes I was in contact with my bank to stop payment on my check. I essentially beat him to the bank, apparently.

Ryan’s WIFE (not girlfriend) Maria Albert is apparently in on his scheme. Maria Albert was easily found on Social Media with photos of her and Ryan and their family. Further investigation reveals that she works for a plastic surgeon in Greensboro, NC. This is where I believe Ryan is actually residing now.
It was easy to gather Ryan’s family member’s contact information from both “Ryan Christopher” and Ryan Himstedt Facebook public information. He used the phone number 336-604-4037 from which he called and texted with me on. This is a Greensboro / Winston Salem area code. Also a gmail email address which we all know that is probably abandoned by now and they’ve created another one. I don’t see any of you making reference to Maria Albert but his wife is apparently in on his scheming now. If I can help any one of you, here’s my email address. [email protected].

We hired Ryan to do vent cleaning and mold remediation (which I later found he is not licensed for) and to redo the encapsulement of our crawl space and replace the insulation He tried to replace the insulation with stuff that was not the right R rating and his excuse was "Well it will do the job". I said if it is not code you are not doing it correctly. We promptly kicked his team off of our property and I blasted him on Social Media. I posted a scam alert in every local FB page that I am a part of so that the surrounding cities are aware of him and his BS. I also called the Sheriff's office and gave them his information. He has several company names, the ones I know of are Premiere Air Systems LLC and Dynamic Air Services. I plan to take his scheming a$$ to court. Please help spread the word in your local areas.

This guy is a piece of work! He got us to. He did pay off the work and I had to have a reputable hearing and cooling company comes in to check everything and fix things. They didn’t wrap the main trunk line like he said. And they left the door to the evaporator open so all the air conditioning was spilling out into the crawl space. Then the furnace door was found on the ground with the clips broken off, they didn’t even try to fix it or put it back on. Do you sure not saving money with these people when you have to have someone come in behind them to clean up their crappy work.

He is using different names. He told us his name was Shawn. He also said the name was air duct cleaners, but on the invoice it said dynamic air services.

Unfortunately had the experience of dealing with Ryan as well. They are posting within community groups on Facebook and are advertising for Air Duct Cleaning. They have started to move into the Chapel Hill - Durham area. The profiles they are using are fake.

They advertise for air duct cleaning and once Ryan comes on-site he says the air ducts look great but you could use a UV light. Ryan only shows up with a back-pack and no supplies for actually cleaning air ducts. He offers to install two UV lights for $800. Upon completion - he says they only accept cash, check, cash-app for payment.

The payment is what concerned me so we told him we would need to more thoroughly inspect the work and would pay within 24 hrs. He seemed ok with that and left. Upon closer inspection - HVAC was not fully re-sealed. There were black lights put into the units by the coils and they just plugged into an outlet and he unplugged other things to do this.

We did not pay Ryan. At this point he became very aggressive and threatening. We removed the black lights and brought them to the local sheriff's office. We told Ryan he could pick them up from the sheriff. Again - Ryan was very angry and threatening.

Ryan Himstedt is a career criminal-Works along side Conrad and Jonathan Tager (father/son)- Conrad (lives in West Columbia/Gaston, SC area) is very good at acting innocent...Jonathan (lives in Charlotte, NC) is a scam artist. Posts motovational videos on his Facebook teaching people how they can be successful in life.(*GAG*)
These guys just pulled the same stuff on my family in January 2022. I just took him to small claims and recieved a judgement for all of my money back.

I really don't have to describe what happened to my family because its almost identical to all of these. Ryan is something else..His wife, Maria Albert) is also aware of what he does...She sat right next to him in court.
I was just successful in small claims court and judge is making him give all my money back-please email me [email protected] so i can help help anyone who is interested in taking this a$$ down!
The other two men are father/son duo who work with him on scamming people. Conrad Tager(father, lives in WestColumbia/Gaston, SC area) is extremely good at acting like he has no idea what is going on ... His son ,Jonathan Michael Tager(lives in Charlotte, NC) is a career criminal. He posts these [censored] motovational videos telling people how they can be just as successful as he is, all while scamming so many people.

Scammed me out of $500 for putting in a light. If I hadn't been babysitting him, he probably would have kept the light from what I could tell. Dude is ripping off elderly people and families who cannot afford to lose money like he's taking.

Got me for $800. Same story as others but he inspected crawlspace and ducts. Made a lot of recommendations and claimed he found mold in ducts. He claimed to spray some sort of cleaner in the ducts "and would be back the following day to brush them." He also claimed to install UV lights on my air handler and package AC unit. None of this work was actually completed. He even went so far as to show me photos of his work (ultimately wasn't actually of my units). Feel free to contact me [email protected]

I won't rehash every detail because it is almost identical to the others. He got myself and my best friend. I can't believe I didn't research him first and I fell for his fast talking BS. I'm normally a bit smarter than that, but he got me for $3700. Same story with timelines, excuses, cash, kids to feed and buy Chistmas gifts for, work ultimately not done, etc. When I began to question his apparent lack of professionalism and business acumen, he said, "Ok, no BS, here's the deal..." He went on to explain the Facebook posts, etc. He said he uses guys in Pakistan because they are not limited by number of Facebook accounts, etc. He pays them for leads. I had noticed the guy I was communicating with on Facebook in other home and yardsale groups ACROSS THE COUNTRY, so I inquired of Ryan as to how he managed to be in all these places. He said there are numerous companies (scammers) who use the same people. HAVE ANY OF YOU HAD LUCK PURSUING ACTION AGAINST HIM? Please contact me if so. 910-476-7080

We, unfortunately, just fell victim to this scam. Same story as all of you, thankfully we caught the problem quick enough to stop payment on the second check. Unfortunately, they cashed the first check right away. We are out a little over $1k, with barely any of the work done. I've messaged everyone else that responded to the ad on Facebook to warn them, and thankfully most of them hadn't paid them or even set their appointments up yet!

Ryan came out to clean our air ducts. Said we had mold and our ducts needed to be replaced. Ducts were 15 years old and starting sit on the ground. We agreed to get rid of the mold, have our insulation replaced, have our ducts replaced, and vapor barrier installed. He asked for a down payment to purchase the materials and the guys showed up the next day to work on the project. It was supposed to take 2 days but it ended up being a week. There was no good communication between the workers or Ryan and us. We would think they were done and then the next day they would be back under our home. Ducts are condensating and building up water on top of the vapor barrier. I paid him cash for the 2nd half of the job which I should not have even paid them at all. I was way too nice to these scammers! Most of the stuff has to be redone and I have no idea how I am going to pay for this! Ryan told me he was going to deduct half of the workers pay, called them degenerates, said he was suspending them, etc. I even have texts from someone claiming to be one of the workers and saying they never got paid from Ryan! Ryan used a fake facebook profile under the name Ryan Alice. I am a business owner and will definitely be filing a report!

Ryan used to live in Greensboro, NC and took advantage of our dumb landlord, abused his girlfriend and got into fights in the parking lot. He has arrest warrants in other states.

Ryan came out said we had major mold, damaged ducts and needed over $2k in work. I am disabled with a disabled child. He said he needed $500 deposit for supplies and would take $500 off if I paid in cash. I was hesitant but I've been very sick and go to unc chapel hill monday for specialists. He blew me off yesterday and was supposed to be here at 8:30. They didn't show so I started googling and found all this stuff on him. I messaged him that we wanted the money back or I was filing a police report and taking him to small claims. He called me back swearing his guys were 5 minutes away. I told him even the police knew about him. To bring the money and I would just call it a day. 5 minutes later conrad calls says he was at the wrong Edgewood drive and that he is a subcontractor ryan hires occasionally. I told him to research the man he is working with and not to come to my house. I'm doing a police report and will probably go talk to the courthouse. I just dont know what to do anymore

Just had sheriff out to the house. Thanks to all of these reports we did not hire him but he did 100% of the same story to include damaging our ducts. I have copies of his new quotes, business names and whatever else may be needed. If we can help any of you.
