It was a "say yes" scam. The voice was light and didn't seem to hear me. Finally it said can you hear me and I said yes.

I received a phone call from the number (908) 837-1791

I said, "Hello."

She said, "****?"

I said, "Yes."

She said, "Can you hear me?"

I said, "Yes, I can."

She said, "Good" and hung up.

I did not give other information.

I immediately put a freeze on all my credit reports and locked all my credit cards and my debit card.

The caller asked "******" and I responded "yes". I remember hearing about this scam before where they likely recorded my voice and could use that to authorize unwanted charges, etc to credit cards, etc.

On Saturday January 20, 2024 @ 5:53 pm. I received what I think was a "YES CALL". I was expecting a call to work, I answered a call from an unfilmiliar phone, the caller said this is John, is this ***......I said yes and they hung up.

I knew that was the wrong answer.

I have been check bank accouts, savings and other accounts, no damages as of today. 1/25/2025.

Person called pretending to be former employer. I responded thinking it was something related to another notice sent out by the company (confirmed real). Asked me a question to get me to say "yes" then hung up.

I attempted to call the Trax Credit Union card services number on the back of my debit card which is 866-820-1988, however I dialed 800-820-1988 by mistake. The person answered and said can you hear me? I said Yes I can. Then she said something about a free offer, and I hung up. It seems these people are targeting misdials.

Phone came up as "Name Unavailable." Answered phone, male individual asked if my full name was my name, then asked if my job title was correct. He then hung up the call.
