I read a headline about a face cream that promotes youthfulness- JUVLI. A free sample was offered if you just paid for shipping. The amount for shipping was $6.99. I gave my credit card information and address to send the product. I received no email with a receipt, nor any emails regarding shipping statuses. I had four charges to my card over the next 9 days from online beauty stores. When I called the numbers provided in my credit card statement and gave my name and address, it was apparent the four companies were all be linked together, as the agents at the various companies could see the four transactions I claimed having been charged without my consent. The customer service agents were, I believe, trained to focus callers on "resting assured" that they would no longer be charged for further shipments of product, but that my four charges were justified by "shipping costs that were elevated due to where I lived and a full charge of products because I failed to cancel before a trial period lapsed." It was not made clear in the least that when I authorized a payment for a free sample, that I was also signing up for repeated automated charges for product. The four companies on my credit card statement were: MNV Beauty, ShopsKVBeauty.com, Jwankamale.com, and Shopfreshtopicals.com. Jwanka Noice Group LLC was stated on the Shopfreshtopicals website. Fortunately, I didn't lose out the full $178.23 they had charged me because I spoke with my Credit card company and cancelled my card and they began an investigation of the charges.
