SHV Holding Reports & Reviews (6)

Recently contacted by a recruiter who claimed to represent SHV Holdings. Due to the email's unknown origin and its content, I knew something sketchy was going on. The fictional character requested that I download some software and provide them with my personal information. The issues I encountered led me to learn more about the organization and its recruitment techniques. During my research, I came across this platform, which provides details about everyone's situation. There seems to be an increase in the sophistication of these scammers these days.
It is a scam, so please do not fall for it.

I was told to download one of the apps that they listed on their initial email so I download "Signal" that we could have our interview. Had the interview the next day. Asked many questions but it felt strange. They use "Signal" as their messaging platform for online interviews and briefings for WFH job offers. 615-813-0443 text SHV-2206 to get the Hiring Manager. I did ask questions back after the interview and was surprised that the person answered.

I had the exact same experience just last week. Emailed from a Gmail account (Kristen Shuey), interviewed on Skype by a "human resources manager" (Robert Johnson). Told I was hired in seemingly record time. Lots of red flags. Extremely high pay for an entry level position. Hired fire a remote, tech job, but asked no technical questions during the interview. Asked about my experience with various software, but no technical software was mentioned. Asked for banking information even though I said I wanted to be paid by check.

I too had an almost identical situation. He Robert Johnson had me download a special app called wire to talk to him on. Then I got hired at record time with no real question of my history. They just told me they were train me and then they sent me a check and told me to cash it or deposited it at my ATM. Not at my bank. I took it into my bank and the check was fake.

So they send you an interview through Skype. Interview is done with Skype messaging, got hired, they sent a contract you are to sign and return with a picture of your ID. They provide all materials for work from home, laptop and software. They send you a check through FedEx, act like its fedex 's fault miss delivering, then the are to do checks via email, they can add water marks on it too, to make it legit. Then per the check you get a $300 sign on bonus and the rest goes to the material. Anyways my bank froze the transaction and locked my account because they couldn't trace the check.

Sorry you went through this. Extremely useful information as I had never heard of employment scams before and I was contacted by someone pretending to work for this company. My "interviewer" was Mike Hamby and I was originally contacted by Patricia Linda by email (gmail... warning sign right there because when I looked the company up, their contact email was [email protected]). They asked about sending me a check by email, and I had a similar experience with a fake check by mail for a Walmart scam. I took it to the bank and they would not accept it because it was missing information that would normally be on a company check. SHV Holdings is out of the Netherlands, so that was another warning sign. More and more didn't look right, so I started looking up about potential job interview scams and they ticked off every warning sign. After seeing this, blocked them on email and Skype. Thank you!
