Getting constant scam calls about a fake tax matter
Hi, this is Brian Lopez with the special resolutions unit. I'm reaching out about a tax matter that both time sensitive and important. I've been checking through some files that got flagged before the 2026 IRS deadline. And yours is still showing a few unresolved items. Maybe a past balance or missing returns. I looked up the number and it's a known scam. The caller ID sometimes shows (845) 630-4816. They are running an IRS impersonation scam.
