I received a text message that appeared to be from Spectrum TV in North Carolina stating I could get 50% off my bill for the next three years if I purchased 2 gift cards @ $200. each and give them the information within 24 hours. They had the Spectrum hold music and advertising about the phone offer of 2 lines for the price of one, for 12 months. I was told to give them the card information to get the promotion. The cards were spent somewhere in San Jose Ca. They are operating under the Spectrum TV ads and that's how they got me, I have internet service., they knew how much my bill was also. They are of East Indian descent based on their accent and used the following telephone numbers; 1-888-588-0171 to set up the process, then I received a voicemail and text message from 1-650-5600 asking me to call 1-833-609-6305 about a transaction error to resolve the problem. Very rude people, I recorded the call. They signed SPECTRUM. I contacted spectrum who had no knowledge of a promotion. I should have called them first. I got the name Jay, Troy, and Johnny all of which are probable fake. They scammed me for $400.

Asked me several questions about spectrum account and my ss number. Didn’t help me at all

I received a phone call today from 803.790.1972 and the lady said she was with Spectrum and asked if my Spectrum bill was too high, if so, she could help in lowering it. After confirming who I was she put me through to a gentleman who said he could offer me with the same TV stations and High-Speed Internet that I currently have and save me $90 per month. In addition, he promised to add for free Showtime and HBO for three (3) months. In the course of this conversation, he mentioned AT&T so I said, "Wait a minute...if I have trouble with my Internet or TV, do I need to call Spectrum or AT&T?" He said AT&T. I said, "Wait a minute, I don't want to change from Spectrum, besides, the lady told me she was calling from Spectrum. I'm done. I don't wish this conversation to go on. He was silent then started telling me how much he could save me each month, and I hung up. This is a SCAM and they need to be stopped. For what it's worth, both persons had a foreign accent. I hope you will investigate this and take these folks down.

frank oliphant called my 65 yr old mother and said he was a employee of spectrum and that he could get her a upgraded cable service that would give her 2,500 channels for half the cost of what she was paying currently, i researched the guy online threw facebook and saw that he was running a cable piracy illegal service and that it was fraud, i told my mother not to do it and filled a police report i'm also going to file a report with the attorney general.

The scammer offered cheaper monthly fees for Spectrum, guaranteed for two years. In the process, I gave him my social security number and my Visa account number. I have already called VISA to cancel my current account. They are sending me a new card with a new number. What do I have to do, who do I have to contact, to prevent the scammer from opening other accounts in my name with my social security number?

They called me asking if i was monthly bill was too high. Claimed i had internet/phone/tv with them when i only had internet. I requested internet and cable services from the business mentioned above. The next day (and for 3 days in a row) I began receiving phone calls from an (855) number. I searched for the number in Google and it has been reported as Scam; I contacted the caller hiding my phone number and a male answered the phone stating: This is M*** from ???, how can I help you? I hung up and contacted the services provider to confirm if this number belongs to their business. I was told that they DO NOT recognize the number. I asked the services provider to run an investigation to verify if this number belongs to them since this number has been previously (2017) reported as Scam or otherwise take action.
