I received a phone call and they left a voicemail message requesting me to call back. I never called back because I assumed it was a scam. The number they wanted me to call back was 201-267-1139

I have received several of these voicemails about me having overdue back tax filing. I refuse to return the call, because if the IRS or the State is wanting to get in touch with you. They do it by mail.

I received the following voicemail:

“I am calling you about your overdue back tax filing this is a notification call about your back tax debt that must be settled before the end of the month we have received a notice that your debt must be settled before the end of the month and if you call today we can possibly help you avoid any wage garnishment my phone number is 201-267-1193 I do have some good news for you about some recent programs that have taken affect I could possibly help you reduce or completely eliminate your overdue back tax debt before you receive a wage garnishment once again my name is Shane Richardson from your back tax filings LLC and my phone number is 201-267-1193 if you would like to opt out of future calls please call back the number on your caller ID and ask for a manager…”

I do have some good news for you about some recent programs that have taken effect that could possibly help you reduce or completely eliminate your overdue back tax debt before you receive a wage garnishment. Once again. My name is Shane Richardson. From your back tax filings, LLC.

I received a voice mail for my ex husband. It stated there was a judgement on him and so I called to tell them it was the wrong number. They proceded to tell me I was liable since I was married to him. And they told me i needed to pay to get my name off and I said no way it was not my debt. She said even if i was married to him for 5 mins I owed his debt. They hung up on me and I called back and the manager answered and was just as nasty to me. They said they were going to garnish my wages and I was to never call back.

I first received a voicemail which was delivered by a human woman, not an automated message. She introduced herself as "Shane Richardson from your back tax filings LLC" and was calling about an overdue back tax that must be settled before the end of the month.

Got curious and called back, and after some time waiting in a cue, a man named Alex from "The Tax Group" called and asked for my full name and if I owe money to the IRS. I just asked him to repeat the company he represents and he said "The Tax Group" and I asked if that was a real thing, and he said they'll take my name and number off the list and hung up before I could curse him out for being a lowlife.

Shane Michael from Rapid Tax Filing left me a voicemail saying I owe back taxes(I don't) and they can help before my wages are garnished. He has a Nigerian accent. My phone never rang. However, it showed that I had a missed call from 636-348-6763 then a voicemail from 769-699-9727 that said to call them back at 888-751-3565

Someone called and left voicemail claiming that I have back taxes due that need to be paid by the end of the month. Their message states that if I call today they can help prevent and wage garnishment. Callback number given is 888-751-3565, but called from 904-922-2885.
