The text message that I received said that I was receiving it regarding the Work From home for Data Entry /Customer Service Representative. It then went on to say that I needed to download teams (and provided the link) and add Mrs. Michelle Goins, the hiring manager. She would do my interview. The "interview" was all done on teams and by the end, I was told that I had the job. During the interview there was very little questions about my work history. I was to connect with her through teams the next morning so that she could connect me with my training manager, Mr. Brian Robinson. He proceeded to email me papers for my employment: W-4 forms, Direct deposit, work contract, etc. They looked legit but it bothered me that I had not met or talked to anyone in person. They offered fantastic benefits and high pay. I messaged them both back and told them that it made me very uneasy that I had not even talked to anyone in person and they have stopped messaging with me. I also called the only number I could find associated with this company and received a voice message not linked to a business. I sent an email to this company from a website asking if this was legit and got no response.

I've been applying to jobs usiing linkedin and indeed.com, today at 6 am i got a text saying they wanted to interview me for a possition as administrative assitant (remote) for $25 hourly.

They required I set up an accont in teams and click a link they sent, for a interview with a person named Margated Crews. I replied that text asking "When?" because it was suspicious they include my whole name but never said what time.

They replied "NOW" wich is more suspicious, usually they give you times for an interview. I check online for the name and bingo, other people had reported this number with similar stories.

An "recruiter" for this company contacted me via email for a job offer--data entry working from home. By the end, I had received what looked to be an official job offer and was requested to fill out a W-4 form. The person even shared screen shots of the many "employees" who had successfully completed the same process. The following day I received a check via UPS in the amount of $10,300.00--this was to be used to order my equipment from "their" vendor; the equipment was supposed to consist of a MacBook, a printer/photocopier, and a scanner. The check, of course, was fraudulent and almost cost me my bank account. Through networking, I discovered that I was not the first person this "company" has done this to. I do not know If Consolidated Communications is a real and reputable company and someone is using their company name to scam people, or if the company is actually a sham; I believe it definitely needs to be looked into as it could be the former and they are unaware someone is using their company name to scam people just looking for employment.

BRIEFING SUMMARY

You will be enlisted for a 2 weeks training program. Find Training program details below:

You will have to be online from 9am to 12pm daily for training programs, although the training hours are flexible as you will be given a series of tasks during training.

You will resume work full-time after training and your working hours will be 8am - 5pm your time zone. For part-time, the hours will be decided.

Whether or not you have an assignment or task to carry out you will be paid $22/hr and for 8 hrs a day as long as you are online during the stated hours.

I got an email claiming to be HR from blue cross blue shield. It was a personal email which tipped me off pretty good. Used this tool to see if it was a scam and it sure was

I was texted by that number and told to set up a Microsoft teams account and given this link https://teams.live.com/l/invite/FEAXfPiNt1xrSLJpgE and to IM mr. nichole smith and give job I’d number Req-755. He did the interview by texting and although seemed suspicious it seemed legit for the most part. He said he gave info to hiring manager and that I got the job 30 mins later still no talking on the phone. He told me the job description pay and such and like most jobs wants my personal information such as name address phone he wanted my bank I use so he could see if checks would be accepted by them and said the company name is tebra. I told him I’d check to see if my bank accepts them and I also said all my information was on my resume. I’m still not sure if this is a scam. But it’s my first time applying remote and I don’t know the process but when describing all the equipment I’ll need and software on the computer I felt it was sketchy as I’m obviously not paying for anything to do my job I feel remote or not it should be provided by the company. He wasn’t pushy but slowly asks more and more information.

I saw a job posting on Linkedin for POWERHOUSE. I received a text from (551) 276-1791 on June 5th and they said reviewed my resume for a Data Entry Clerk job with a pay of $28/hr. Apparently it's an impersonation of POWERHOUSE fund itself. I spoke with an employee on POWERHOUSE fund, Chris Perrault on Linkedin. He said it's a scam and the company is not hiring anyone nor has a job position for Data Entry Clerk.

I saw a job on LinkedIn for a company called "Powerhouse Photography" and the job was a Data Entry Clerk. The pay was listed as $28/hour, Monday - Friday 8 - 5. Sounded like a pretty sweet gig so I clicked it and it gave me the option for "Easy Apply" which I did.

The next morning, I received a text from 551-276-1791 stating that a recruiter at Powerhouse Inc. has reviewed my resume and I was under consideration for the position. The next steps for the process were for me to either sign up or login to my Microsoft Teams account. I unfortunately did this and just thought that maybe it was a "new way" of interviewing. They even used someone's info (name and picture) from the company which was Powerhouse Fund.... totally different from Powerhouse Inc. or Powerhouse photography.

The man conducted an "interview" via chat on Microsoft Teams and then told me to wait a few min and he came back and said that they wanted to hire me.

My assumption is that they are going to try and get my card information or have me pay for my equipment and they will reimburse me.

I was contacted via text message offering me a remote job opportunity with Kerry Group and the salary was $30/hour, and that I had to contact Jerry Houlihan for the interview steps. However, doing some digging of my own turns out Jerry no longer works for Kerry Group. That is when the red flags came about. I then received an email from a Steve Leonard offering the same position but the job title was worded differently and this time it was $25-$30 hourly rate. There was a lot of inconsistencies between the email from "Steve" and the text message from "Jannell". I was told to download the Microsoft Teams app for the interview process, which luckily I did not do since I figured out it was a scam prior to clicking the link.

I was contacted via text message and told they found my resume on indeed.com and that they have positions available in customer service rep, data entry, data analyst, business analyst, I.T., Accounting Clerk Bookeeper. They then asked if I have any problem working remote? They stated this was strictly online and work from home job and hours are flexible. The pay is $37.09/hr and during training $20/hr. They would pay bi-weekly via direct deposit or paycheck and the maximum amount I could work would be 45 hrs.
