I found a job posting for a remote Admin Assistant for Thrive LGBT which claimed to be a charitable non profit on Indeed.com. I applied and was offered an interview a number of weeks later. The interview took place over the phone and I was offered the job. This was followed by phone calls regarding payment for an equipment deposit. I paid $100.00 but they requested $400.00. They sent me a link to a job portal with onboarding information. I filled out information including a copy of my drivers license, an I9 tax form with my name, address and social security number, and a direct deposit form with my bank information. Training was scheduled but when I reached out to the “recruiter” named “Lauren Maynard” for format details, I was told it was a scam. Lauren claimed to also have been scammed out of $400 by the “founder” “Shataila Carter”. There has been no other contact. I have reported Shataila’s LinkedIn profile, filed a police report, and sent a report to the Federal Trade Commission.

applied for a job on job board was contacted by ***** ******* (******************) and interviewed. Offered job very quickly but was told I would need to pay upfront for laptop and equipment . Offer letter was sent by ****/******** ****** from **********************. Told ***** that I needed to think about it. Received email 4 hours letter demanding that I respond, this email was on a chain with many other people on it that had also been offered jobs. They all started replying that they had been attempted to be scammed in the same manner. Upon further investigation I discovered a FB post where people had been saying they had been scammed out of hundreds, thousand of dollars, either not being paid for months and/or sending money for equipment they never received.

I was offered a remote social worker position. I was provided an offering letter which I provided my social security, home address. I was also asked to pay $400 for a laptop/printer for my work.

I sent the $400 through zelle on 11/11/2022 to a dresean matthews.

On thanksgiving I wasnt able to login into any of the system & was made aware from the other employees we all have been fired.
