Tried to book a flight through this site, they called me and said i couldnt take on any carry on bags and i would have to upgrade from the $291 flight to over $790 , i told him to cancell my flight and do not charge my card , i immediately shut off my card and then the ahole tried to charge my card the $291. They are scammers. I cancelled my card and the company is sending a new one.

I ordered tickets to Maui and gave my credit card information. I was sent a confirmation with Alaska Airlines with the caveat that the prices may change. Within 2-hrs I received a phone call voice mail message and the translation wording was not understandable and made absolutely no sense and mentioned my Air Mexico flight? I returned the call to the number and spoke to a person, Patrick, who had a ver heavy Indian accent. I requested to cancel this reservation (and the website stated a 24-hr cancellation policy). Patrick discouraged me to not cancel and was telling me a story of why I could not cancel and speaking fast so I was having trouble understanding him. Finally, he agreed to make the cancellation and said I would have the xcl confirmation within next 2-hrs. I called back when I did not receive the cancellation confirmation. I have called back 4-times now and talked with George Smith. Each time he assures me the ticket is cancelled, however, he cannot create the xcl confirmation as it must come from the ticketing agent (a separate department). He assures me that the ticketing agent (his name is Frank Smith) will be sending me the information. This morning (now 1-1/2 days since the original purchase) I spoke to George Smith again and he said that Frank Smith is not there right now but he will be in shortly and I will have my confirmation number within the next 2-hrs. All of the people I speak with have heavy Indian accents, speak fast and are hard to understand. The reasons they give for not being able to produce this xcl confirmation are convoluted and very suspect. I will never deal with a company that us not associated with a major domestic airline company/ticket agency again. Do not use HOT FLIGHT DEALS.

When my wife tried to cancel a cruise with Royal Carribean, she found a 24 hr customer service line 8449668527 which she saw on a "Royal Carribean" website. She spoke to a Darren French who said that he wanted $300 to cancel our cruise in lieu of the non-refundable $500 deposit we made. He got my wife's credit card number. When I went online to confirm the cruise cancellation, the real Royal Carribean had no record of it. We called the credit card company to refuse the charges and were informed on how to handle the matter, including getting a new credit card. It was amazing the Darren sent us a "confirming email" regarding the transaction which included all of our itinerary information, including ship name, departure date, Reservation ID, and room type!!! Darren also gave us his personal number3326001842, X759. Royal Carribean should fix this data breach!!!

We received a letter inviting us to a “Travel Forum”. As an incentive they offered a voucher good for 2 round trip tickets to many US cities and a $100 dining savings card.

During and after the presentation they would not disclose the name of their travel company. None of the people had business cards to hand out. They would not share the web address of their website until we paid the $6-10,000 to join. The only number they would acknowledge is the 833-770-1040 number in their initial mailer,

The voucher they gave us for travel was through a California based company named casablancaexpress. When we did an online search for this company, we came to the ScamPulse.com site and learned this Casablanca travel company is a scam. Many people lost $500 to $1000 in “fees and taxes” they had to pay up front and could not book the promised trip for various reasons.

Kat Beal, Kathy Beal, Kathy Hall contacted my wife whom she has known since childhood. She told us that she had flight vouchers she had earned through JetBlue for being top performer and she would sell them to us for only $100 for a round trip ticket. Of course we were interested as we have a large family and any way to save money would be great. Before we purchased anything from her we contacted another individual who had bought tickets from Kat and they seemed legit. So we went ahead and purchased $1800.00 worth of tickets. She then let us know that a co-worker of her had a resort pass in Hawaii that had a face value of about 5-6k but she would sell it for $1500.00. We gave her an additional $1500.00 dollars as my wife and I were looking to finally plan our honeymoon to Hawaii. Since giving her the $3300.00 dollars we have flown 1 time, round trip (my wife and I), technically $200.00 in Kat's book. We have repeatedly asked for a refund and we have not seen a cent yet. It is always something or "thank you for being patient, I have so much going on but I will make sure I get your money back to you." It has been over 8 months and nothing.

I booked 2 airlines tickets and was charged $807.99 for delta and it was declined by my bank at first until I confirmed it was me making the transaction. I had to send a copy of my bank card with just the last four digits showing and a copy of my drivers license to prove it was me making the transaction and then the money came out of my account and then a week later the money went back into my account. I called them and they said it is still a valid booking and that when they send the tickets my account will be deducted. Spoke to a guy named Derrick Harvey

Same experience as described, with free trips for attending an event at an address where it is up for a lease. They told me to bring a credit card that was not a debit card, but that they wouldn’t look at the numbers.

- Yuma, AZ, USA • Dec 04, 2024

Purchased a ticket online after entering and using credit card. Received no confirmation as directed. Several hours later received call telling me the flight was not available, I was on stand by unless I paid an additional $800 for the same flight or cancel and lose my initial $302.24 and an additional $250 cancellation fee. I contacted the airline who had no record of me

This is a third party travel agency, they make you an offer with your flight of choice and then they tell you the fair is not available and you can not get a refund so you might as well let them help find you a different (no expensive) booking and you can use the amount you paid them as credit toward the new booking. I asked for a refund, they were yelling at me and hanging up on me. They refused the refund and then said they can refund me for a charge. Meanwhile I have no flight booking. Then I called United airlines (where the booking was with) and they told me I have a booking but the entire $1,350 was booked as one way one fareoking send me an email saying it was round trip. It’s a total scam to get you to come to them and commit because they hold your money and charge your card. Also the most disrespectful employees.

Smartcheapfares.com charged me 307 dollars to be on a wait-list for a spirit flight. Spirit does not charge for wait-list. The also guarantee cheapest prices but had me pay full price for the plane tickets, then an additional 307 and told me I wouldn't be able to get the flight if I didn't pay it. I checked on spirit airlines website and can purchase the tickets for the same price they did but I wouldn't have to pay 307. I basically paid someone 307 dollars to book me plane tickets I could e done myself lesson learned, however they are scamming people and not holding to their price guarantee

They keep postponing or delaying when you will receive the product and disconnect the calls when you try to reach out to the company

- Chevy Chase, MD, USA • Nov 11, 2024

The accent was "Indian accent", at the beginning, he was very kind, like he was trying to help me. When I realized that I was face a scammer, he became aggressive, and told me me he has already take my money. I told him I was going to make a bad review on their company, he responded to me that I will waste my time for nothing.

My husband & I were taking a vacation & Vick at the # above told us he was with Delta airlines. We asked for bulkhead seats and told they would be $1500 then were told isle seats were $675 We opted for the cheaper option! (my husband had knee surgery.) We did not get them! Called Delta to explain & they saidvthey dont charge for that & would accomodate free of charge. They also said they did not receive any money or a request.! When i called Vick back he said it was sent back to them. Lied to our credit card company & told them it was never for isle seats that they are a travel agency. I am 74 yrs old & on a limited income. Please stop them they are making money off of innocent people maybe a little naive because we dont travel much!!

I gave them a credit card to pay the $415.66 they charged for airplane tickets on American Airlines. When I called American to verify validity of tickets, I learned I had none. So I had to cancel my credit card, that had not yet been charged. They called me after that to follow up. I did not engage, having researched, and learned they were a scam. (Your site won't accept the number they attempted to steal from me on previous page)

This is ostensibly a flight booking website. They advertise cheap airfares. It's a bait-and-switch scam. Wife and I had a sudden need to fly to St. Louis on short notice and I was trying to save money. A search turned up this website.

I found a great fare at hours I wanted to fly. I booked it and paid for it with a credit card. The first problem came up when they called a couple of hours later to describe the restrictions, which included ZERO baggage of any sort. Only one small personal item. I was very unhappy but they wouldn't budge, so we decided to make it work because it was important we go.

The next issue popped up the next day when they called to say only one of us could be confirmed; the other was on standby. I said that was unacceptable. So he came back with another flight that was nearly 3 times the original cost. I protested long enough that he finally brought it down to a bit less than double the original, at a less desirable time. I reluctantly accepted.

We flew out the next week on a Tue. Event was Wed. We were supposed to fly back to Phx Thu night. Well, Thu morning they called to say that flight was gone and they were working to find another. This went on for the rest of Thu until I realized we weren't leaving on Thu. He confirmed that but promised me a flight out at 8am Fri. But in every case, they always have to actually book it with the airline and then email you your boarding passes. And that is where this chain continually broke down. A flight would be promised with email to arrive 3-6 hours later. Those emails never came. So I'd call them and the game began all over again. Throughout this whole process, I would occasionally get so frustrated that I would ask for a refund. But I was always told it was non-refundable.

We had to book an airport hotel, hoping that I'd get the email for the Fri 8am flight overnight while we slept. No emails arrived. I tried calling only to find out no one could help me until 10:30 Fri morning.

At that point, I gave up and was forced to go book a flight home at my expense. Fortunately I found one at $867 that afternoon. No one from Smart Cheap Fares ever called me again.

The way I look at it, they took half my money for no return. I paid approximately $1250. I'm asking for $600 back.

I purchased airline tickets from this website and I was notified by e-mail three days prior to my flight that there was a problem with my reservation and to contact the 800 number provided in the e-mail. When I called the representative informed me that the terms of the airline ticket purchase had changed and that I was no longer allowed to bring a checked bag, carry on bag, or personal item on the flight. I was only allowed to have my boarding pass and cell phone with me. He explained that these rules were stated prior to checkout. None of these rules were listed anywhere on the website, nor did I even get a confirmation of the purchase or a reservation number. He proceeded to tell me that for an additional $400 I would be able to change my cabin on the plane so that I would be able to bring a carry on. He pressured me to proceed with the additional fee or I would forfeit my seat altogether and that my flight would be non-refundable which he claimed was also stated on the website. Again, none of these rules were ever mentioned on the website. I told the representative that these last minute alterations were unacceptable and I did not continue with the "additional" purchase. I simply hung up without giving them the chance to record me agreeing to anything. DO NOT USE this site! Not only will they try to scam you out of money but they will also leave you stranded without a flight!!!!

I am going to Europe this upcoming weekend for a cruise. My mother wanted info about our flights and called a number off of google that stated it was delta airlines. I believe this man was a scammer. He requested personal info and told us our flights were cancelled(they were through the delta website) which threw us into a panic as we are expected to leave in 4 days. This man could not verify any information but wanted me to verify all of the passenger names and date of births. Also said we had to repurchase the tickets at current value(totaling over $6,000), and that he would refund us AFTER the flights took place. Absolute scam. Sat on hold with the correct delta customer service for 3 hours before getting to an actual person. This representative was so nice and fixed our issue within minutes. Somehow our flights were cancelled online which none of us had done. I believe this man got flight information from my mother and used it to cancel our flights online, trying to get us to pay him this ridiculous amount to “get them back.”

Posed as Delta Airline Customer Service Rep, this guy named Massimo, told me that even if Delta cancelled the flight in order to rebook it I was supposed to pay for a fair difference. My son and his fiance' were stuck in Italy after his flight got cancelled on July 19 because of worldwide Microsoft issue. My son got automatically rebooked by Delta on a flight of July 21 but his fiance' didn't. The email i received from Delta airline stated that she was rebooked with my son. Once at the airport, no one from Delta assisted her in a timely matter so they both ended up missing july 21 flight/chance to return to the USA. At this point, we tried to call Delta airline in Italy at 1-800-221-1212 but no one ever answered the phone. We looked for a Delta phone# in the US and we found this # 1-877-913-1050. I called this# and pretending they were Delta airline they told me that I had to pay for a difference in fare in order to rebook their cancelled flight. After a long arguing, and desperate to get my son and fiance' back in the US, I agreed to pay a rebooking fee of $985. In the midtime I drove to the airport where they were stuck and went to talk directly to a Delta ticketing customer service assistant. They told me that Delta was rebooking at no extra fees and that I have been scammed but this "third" party unknown company. I immediately called my bank and blocked my credit card.

I called a number that I thought was expedia to change my flights. They told me it was going to $395 a ticket to change the flights. They went onto expedia pretending to be my husband and then went onto American pretending to be my husband again. They then charged me saying the fee was to change the flights which part of the fee was. However, the other fee was not for the flights solely.

Third party seller promised product at a certain price and then never sent the product. Offered airlines tickets and never delivered a confirmation number or tickets advertised when I made my purchase.
