I usually know better than to answer yes however today I have the flu and they caught me off guard. I answered the phone and a lady identified herself as a representative with Trip Advisor and asked if I could hear her. I had recently visited the site and unfortunately responded "yes". Immediately after my response the call was disconnected.

Without thinking as was in the middle of something important, the caller said can you hear me and I didn't think before saying yes...and the call ended.... I get repeat calls with similar numbers and no idea why I just answered this one. I have included the multiple numbers that call me daily.

Said I had been selected to receive reduced rates on cruises then asked if “ can you hear me ok” and before I had time to think, I answered yes.

This is a “yes” voice - recognition scam.

I was called by 608-513-2696 at 1:33 pm on Friday, December 1st. The woman said," My name is Sam. I am a trip advisor. Can you hear me?" I said yes on instinct and then realized this could be used against me. I immediately hung up and then tried calling the number back but the mailbox was full.

Received the call on 11/21/17 at about 10:45am. Caller introduced herself as Sam from Trip Advisor then asked "Can you hear me?" Unfortunately I answered yes and there was a pause then she continued on with her pitch. I hung up on her but then realized this may be one of those telephone scams that get people to say yes.

One local number called and I answered and they didn't respond. I got a call from another local number right after and he said he was from Trip Advisor and we were on a recorded phone call. He asked if I could hear him. I hung up. There is a scam going around that wants the victim to say yes so they can scam them and have "proof" that they authorized it. I'm on the national Do Not Call list so I believe this is illegal.
