Below is their condescending response to my email. The item they sent was not what was advertised. The ad was misleading and fraudulent. The item I received was pure junk. (I have screenshots of their ad on their website)
Dear Ashley,
I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your sea glass Christmas tree. However, I must admit that your expectation of finding a genuine, handcrafted sea glass piece for $29.99 did give me a chuckle.
Perhaps you could check **** for the "real deal" – but be prepared to shell out a pretty penny! We're the first to admit that scouring beaches for enough sea glass to create unique pieces at that price point is simply not feasible.
If you'd still like to return the item for a refund, please let me know and I'll provide you with the necessary instructions.

Unusual Joy is a website that claims it has unique and fun gifts. The webite banner claims it is ScamPulse.com Certified and a B Corp. Neither of these things are true. I ordered an $80 lamp that wasnt as advertised at all. They refuse to offer refunds. They cant be reported to ScamPulse.com even though they state they are certified through them. A complete scam, do not buy from them! The website looks very legitimate- buyer beware!

https://www.unusualjoy.com/all/terms : (they falsely claim to be ScamPulse.com accredited) will not adhere to their return policy. The product listed said it was stained glass and had an electric cord, my mother in law received a plastic 'painted to look like stained glass' item. they will not send a shipping label for us to return it, even though their return policy says that they need to be made aware of and approve the return before it is sent to them.

They use an image on their site to immitate being a ScamPulse.com accredited business (which my mother in law looked at and felt comforted by, leading to her making the purchase)

Ordered a lamp off this website that claimed to be made of stained glass and soldered together on 6/10/2024. Received item in the mail 2 weeks later from China, made of plastic, painted poorly, no trademark markings on the product at all. The product was nothing as advertised.
Went to website to chat online as that was listed as something provided. I put in my order number and zip code, “order not found”.
Emailed the link on the page and spoke with James, who told me the product was “delivered as advertised”, therefore will not give a full refund. Sent me a Texas address (5900 Balcones Drive, Austin TX 78731) to return the item to, but they would not be paying for the return.
Links to the chat, feedback, & returns FAQ do not work on the site. Also, called the phone number 3 times and no one answered. Also noted the Better Business Bureau on the bottom of the webpage that led to a bogus site.
Decided not to return the item and cut my loss of $50. They are running a scam at this site.
