i APPLIED FOR A BMO BANK ACCOUNT. i HAD JUST RECIEVED 2 CHECKS FROM BANK OF AMERICA ONE FOR CLOSING OUT MY ACCOUNT $74.05 AND THE OTHER FOR COMPENSATION. $1659.02. MY VEHICLE IS BROKEN DOWN AND MY HEALTH IS NOT GREAT SO I DECIDED I WILL TRY ONLINE CHECK DEPOSIT. I WASNT SURE WHAT BANK AND THEN ON THE MONDAY SEPT 30. I RECIEVED A CALL FROM A BMO AGENT TALKING TO ME ABOUT FUNGING MY ACCOUNT. I EXPLANIED I HAD TWO CHECKS BUT I WAS WOORIED BECAUSE BEING A NEW CUSTOMER HOW LONG WOULD MY CHECKS BE ON HOLD. I EXPLAINED TO HER MY VEHICLE IS DOWN I KAM HAVING HEALTH ISSUES AND I HAVE VERY LITTLE FOOD LEFT. SHE ASSURED ME THE FIRST CHECK WOULD BE AVAILABLE THAT NIGHT AND THE NEXT ONE THE FIRST 500 THE NEXT DAY. I WAS OK WITH JUST THE 74, CHECK BEING AVAILABLE. WELL, THAT EVENING NOTHING THEN I THOIUGHT OK MIDNIGHT NOTHING SO I CHECK THE BMO WEBSITE AND IT CLEARLY SAYS ACCOUNTS 90 DAYS OR LESS CHECKS WILL TAKE FOUR DAYS. i THOUGHT THAT WAS ODD WHY WOULD SOMEONE WHO WORKS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ENROLLING NEW PEOLPE NOT KNOW THAT. I MEAN ITS WHAT SHE DOES EVERYDAY. SO, I CALL HER THE NEXT DAY AND I AM IN TEARS. AND SHE IS LIKE I FEELMSO BAD I MISSPOKE. LOOK WHEN YOUR MONEY IS AVAILABLE, I WILL NOT CHARGE YPU THE 30 FEE FOE EXPEDITING THE CARD. I AM UPSET AND JUST LIKE WHATEVER AT THIS POINT. I ASK HER WHEN MY MONEY BECOMES AVAILABLE ICAN ZELLE RIGHT. SHE SAYS YES OF COURSE. FRIDAY MY FUNDS POST. I AM LIKE THANK YOU JESUS, I DO ONE ZELLE TO MY DAUGHTER FOR $155.OO AND ATTEMPT TO DO ONE TO MY SON FOR $500. IT DOESNT WORK. I TRY SOMEONE ELSE NO I CALL THE LADY BACK AND SHE SAYS THERE IS NO LOCK OR NOTHING ON YOUR ACCOUNT. ITS THE OTHER PERSONS ACCOUNT. SHE SAID SHE TALKEDVTO FRAUD AND EVERYTHIING. BUT I KNOW ITS MY ACCOUNT A FEW DAYS LATER I AM ABLE TO PAY 3 BILLS ONE FOR 25 AND 20 AND 25. i ATEEMPT TO DO THE 500 AND ITS BLOCKS ME AGAIN. oH AND I FORGOT MY CARD WASS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE THREE DAYS AFTER MY MONEY POSTED AND GUESS WHAT THERE IS A DISCREPEBCY ON MY ADDRESS SO ITIS GOING BACK TO SENDER. I SAID SOMETHING IS UP HERE. MY HUSBAND SAID THEY ARE TRYTING TO KEEP YOUR MONEY. SO NOW I AM LIVID I CALL BMO AND FRAUD SAYS MY ACCOUNT IS FROZEN AND THEY ARE TRYING TO VERIFY THE FUNDS. AND ITS GOING TO TAKE 30 DAYS I CAN'T TOUCH MY MONEY TRY TO GOIN THE BANK AND COLLECT MY MONEY AND AT THE END OF THE 30 DAYS IF THEY FELL THAT THE FUNDS ARE NOT LEGIT, THEY CAN THEN TELL ME TO CALL MY BANK AND HAVE THEM WRITE ME A NEW CHECK. i SAID AND YOU GUYS THEN KEEP MY MONEY. SO, ALL OF THE STALLING WAS TO KEEP MY MONEY BECAUSE THEY KNOW THAT BOFA IS GOING TO WRITE ME A NEW CHECK. IF ANYONE ELSE HAS EVER GONE THROUGH THIS SPEAK UP. WE NEED TO GET A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT GOING AND GET THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. I IMMEDIEIATLY CALLED BANL OF A AND TOLD THEM THE HORROR I WENT THROUGH AMD TOLD THEM TO PULL THAT MONEY BACK SO THEY CAN NOT KEEP IT. I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THEY ARE REALLY TRYING TO STEAL MY MONEY
