They sent a message to my phone exactly as written; “ USPS: The carrier was unable to deliver your order because the shipping information is missing a house number. Check, please. uspreprexgr.info/Bwtg”

It looks exactly like the USPS website but you can’t click any other links or tabs on the page. It sends you back to the same page.

The text message said that my package had the wrong house number, that I needed to correct it online and pay a redelivery fee. I gave them my credit card number, expiration date, 3 digit security code, address, phone number and name. I reported it to my credit card company.

Got a text from USPS stating that they needed more information from me to redeliver a package. It looked exactly like the usps website. But the url was wrong and so was the fact that you couldn’t click on menu or other options on the website. It was early and I should have been more cautious but I do have several packages I’m waiting on. I gave out my name address and credit card information.

Received a text about a failed package delivery due to missing address information. Please update your address through a link to redeliver. It asked for my address and then for a .09 redelivery fee. Normally i would have balked, but we had a package that was to be delivered that contained my Dad's medical supplies that was hampered due to the Christmas winter storm of 2022. I stupidly entered credit card number.

I received a message from what looked like USP saying the courier was unable to deliver a package because the address was incomplete.

It then sked for my name address .

Then wanted credit card info for extra delivery charges.

That’s when I concluded the message was a scam.

I tried calling USPS to report the attempted scam but only got recordings but after many attempts to break through their digital brick wall I finally got a real human who affirmed my suspicions and said the tracking numbers where not in the format used by them.

I blocked the Numbers they used and the messages stopped for a week but another message arrived on 12/19/2022.

Scammer sent a text. I fell for it most especially because my mom did say that I was supposed to get a package a few days ago. Also, it appeared to be a secure website with all of the appropriate USPS logos. I entered my address and phone number information. Then proceeded to the next page where it asked for money for delivery with a fee for $3 and to enter my credit card information. Finally at this point I came to my freaking senses and snooped around on the internet to discover it was a scam. Damn. They are getting good.

- Vancouver, WA, USA

It looked exactly like the USPS website, so I gave them my debit card number. They used it to make purchases online. They tried to use it at a restaurant, where it was declined. That’s when the bank notified me, canceled my card and issued a new one.
