I had been applying to different jobs, specifically data entry positions on various job boards such as LinkedIn and Indeed. I received a text message about a week later following up on a data entry clerk position that seemed legitimate. However, it was odd that they text messaged me rather than called or emailed which is pretty standard. Also, they sad I would have to download Microsoft Teams to get a job briefing and set up an interview, which seemed odd. I looked up the supposed hiring manager's name and found a report on ScamPulse.com for scams. Over the past few days, I have been receiving similar types of messages from other supposed data entry jobs asking me to download an app to communicate, which seemed like a scam, so this made me suspect as well.
