Someone set a second factor of authentication for my cell phone number with an e-mail of theirs. They had requested to transfer my WhatsApp account to a new phone number, added my profile picture to it and contacted a large number of my contacts that have WhatsApp account asking for money to be sent to another phone number +1 (347) 279-5851 via Zelle. One of my contacts paid them $402.

I also received multiple calls and a regular text message from scammer from +1 (941) 300-7707, stating that they are “Willing to return my WhatsApp account” and asking me to pay.
