I was filling out for some online job and secret shopper and filled out the application for a few of them and one day I received a text from mr.terpstra number telling me to check my mail so when I got home I look in my mailbox and inside was a priority mail envelope and inside of it was a single white and black headed letter that in short terms said I was hired for a job as a secret shopper and inside also was a cashier check for 985.00 from a PNC bank I was asked to cash the check and with 700 of the money was to go and buy some Nordstrom gift card and send this person Mr Derek terpstra the numbers off the back and my full name and email address and if I was To do it a 24 hour time frame I would receive a $300 bonus that I would also receive in my mailbox. Scam Alert

Received a letter via USPS including a page with instructions on secret shopping multiple businesses by securing gift cards. Also included was a Cashiers Check" for $1980.57.
The instructions stated to purchase gift cards to the tune of $1500, scratch off the security tabs, and send photos of the front and back of the cards, along with any receipts and a breakdown of my experience in each location.
They also said to retain $400 as my "commission" and to keep the cards as they would be used in the future.
There was also a condition that if I reported the receipt of the package within 2 hours, and completed the assignment, that I would receive an additional $300 "bonus". Everything was to be reported via text and email.
I did register to be a secret shopper and even do surveys, but this broke my heart to see that people still try to run scams like this.

Whole Foods Market customer service evaluation assignments I received a fake check in the mail for $1380 and it’s saying it wants me to go cash it but it’s fake .
It’s a scam.

I received a ups envelope with a letter of assignment and a check in the mail (3/30/22). The wording in the letter just didn’t make sense. I googled the website and that address doesn’t even exist. Then I googled the bank that is listed on the check. The routing number was correct but the zip code was incorrect. I googled to see if this was a scam and I’m glad I did.

I received a letter in the mail, Priority Mail, with a check for $1.450.00.

It appears to be a Welcome Letter and Congratulating me for my achievements.

The assignment was to let them know within 6 to 12 hours that I have received the letter, and by doing this I would earn a bonus of $200.00.

the first assignment was to purchase Nike Gifts cards, with available denominations from $100.00, $200.00, and $500. After the purchase of cards, I am to open the pack and gently peel the silver scratch-off area on the card. Capture the image of the card front and back, and do not discard those cards as they will be used for my forthcoming assignment.

The letter went into detail as to how I was to report back to my findings. After completing the survey I was to email my report and sent it to [email protected]. Also after completing the assignment I was to text 346-296-4359 to process my so bonus.

I am reporting this, as I do believe this is a scam to get money from me and does not look legitimate to my eyes.
