I got a text with a verification code and a link to affirm.com. I haven't reset any passwords, accessed any of my accounts, or ever gotten a text from them before. I'm just assuming it's a scam or some way for them to get internet traffic/sales opportunities.

Sending me unwanted messages when i have never heard of them: Affirm.com: NEVER share your verification code via call or text. If someone asks for the code, it's a scam. Your code is ****. This company is TRASH and I would NEVER do business with them after what I'm reading about them.

I got a text but it looks a bit different from the ones shown here... So I got sent a text saying someone named "Gabriel" sent me a secure message...? With a link, I don't touch links from anyone I don't know personally, so I unusually thought it was spam/scam... Did a little research and found it quite a bit of scams are going around with these "buy now pay later" apps/services. Anyways here's the original message "Gabriel from Affirm services sent you a secure message. Details: www.affirmsp.top"
I got a text from affirm but it's a bit different from the ones I see here...

Random text out of the blue
Affirm.com: NEVER share your verification code via call or text. If someone asks for the code, it's a scam. Your code is 9381.

So annoying and makes you nervous if there is someone using your information. After reading other people experiences I’m not thinking that’s what happened. I think the company is trying to trick people into visiting their site. Could be wrong but not sure. It has happened to a lot of people
Seems phishy to me

I received a call claiming to be my credit card company saying that I had fraudulent charges and that they were going to send me a new card to replace my current card. They then sent me two codes from a text from affirm.com and asked me to give them the quotes that were sent to me and then hung up. I later contacted my credit card company and they said they did not call me regarding those charges

I received a text message stating: “ Affirm.com: NEVER share your verification code via call or text. If someone asks for the code, it's a scam. Your code is ****”. I have never heard of Affirm nor worked with them. I put in a complaint file to Affirm saying my information was being used unauthorized.

I received a text on my cell phone as follows:

"Affirm.com: NEVER share your verification code via call or text. If someone asks for the code, it's a scam. Your code is ####."

Until now, I had never even heard of affirm. When I called affirm, they claimed they didn't have my phone number in their system. Yet, the text came from 58083, which is the short code used by affirm, and the link in the message is to affirm.com; obviously from affirm. So... phishing?

I have never had any contact with Affirm.com yet I received a text on Friday 1/31/20 sending me a code. The text did not show a regular phone number, just 580-83. I had to look Affirm up to find out what it was. I have not asked for a loan or purchased anything using Affirm. ( I blacked out the alleged code that they sent but I am willing to provide it if necessary.)

Hello. I received the same message. What did you do from there and did you see any changes on your credit report?
