Amazon Imposter Reports & Reviews – Page 44 (1463)

- Farmington, NM, USA

The person gave his name as Roger Anderson. He said "Mike Wilson" was ordering a smart phone using my account with Amazon. He said my account is being billed $700 for the phone. He wanted numbers from me and wanted me to get on my computer. I did none of this. I don't even have an account.

- Hattiesburg, MS, USA

I was called at 11:24am by a man faking to work for Amazon. He said someone purchased an IPhone from Ohio. He also said that they needed to take the money out of my account, and it would be refunded. I said I didn’t know what he was talking about, and this wasn’t Amazon number. He then seemed aggravated, when I wouldn’t give him information and hung up the phone.

Received multiple texts from various numbers that all say the same thing - _____, Tou still have $130 in Amazon Bonus Credit: w1bv.ifo/BP0dPsddBp See what you can buy before it expires on 03/24 w1fbv.info/PB0dPsddBp. Deleted the Texts without clicking on the links within the message.

I received a text message on my phone from Amazon bonus credit for 130$ And a link in text message That reads see what you can buy with it before it expires

I just received a text from an unknown number that had the wrong name addressed to it and said I won a raffle I never put in for.

“_?_?_?_ will be delivered by tomorrow evening and $1537.35 has been debited from your account for the purchase if you authorize this charge no action required if you did not authorize this charge then press one to get connected to Amazon customer support…”

Text from unknown sender. States I have $100.00 Amazon Rewards credit. Follow a link to claim: v9fcm.info/m7KBzGEnp3. Didn't open it. Link may be used to retrieve credit card info. Amazon has no promotion of this type.

Pic not available because I sent very colorful words to the sender.

Woman was told she owed $599 dollars on her Prime account. She asked what the account name was, and the scammers couldn't list it. Then they hung up, so she called back and acted dumb, saying she got a voicemail. They tried to tell her someone made a fraudulent purchase on her account for $599 but when she started asking questions, they hung up again.

You have $150 Amazon bonus credit: (click this link) see what you can buy before it expires on 03/28

Why doesn't the government stop these thieves? More importantly, why doesn't Amazon stop these thieves? I have proof that Amazon condones fraudulent seller activity on their site. Not surprised they care little about this as well.

the message says

“you still have $100 Amazon Bonus credit: v9fcm.info/m7PDKwtTID See what you can claim before it expires on 03/28 v9fcm.info/m7PDKwtTID”

- Oshkosh, WI, USA

I received a text message from Amazon telling me I have a credit. Just click on the link they have provided.

- Weyauwega, WI, USA

I’ve received 2 text messages like this: My name, "you still have $130 Amazon Bonus credit: w1fbv.info/PBdEim4Cdk See what you can buy before it expires on 03/24 w1fbv.info/PBdEim4Cdk"

- Chicago, IL, USA

It stated that the MacBook Pro I ordered would be delivered in 5-10 business days. It’s supposed to be shipped to someone in Newport Richey, Florida.

Watch out for SCAM phone calls from "Molly at Amazon" saying you have a $729 charge from Dayton Ohio on your account that you can contest. I have received at least a dozen of these calls in the last 24 hours from a 920 area code. It is always someone with a foreign accent that answers and there are lots of voices in the background. Like a boiler room.  They hang up when you start to question them or say you're calling the police.

When I spoke with the Oshkosh police department, they said they've been hearing a lot about these calls and that the callers are very persistent. They said to tell the caller you're reporting this to the police.

Received a text from 7543043007 it stated security alert: you paid $2549.99 against LG 4 door smart refrigerator. Order id ******** at AMAZON on 3-26-2021, if not you contact 18883620388. I personally don't even have an Amazon account. So I reported it to Amazon and now to the ScamPulse.com before someone actually loses out.

- Maple Heights, OH, USA

I opened an email from Amazon. Stated I had ordered something for $6000. I did not order anything from Amazon. I called the phone number 833-572-1660. They answered Amazon. Requested my name and confirmation number. A TV was ordered from Mexico. I questioned them. I asked the representatives name and he hung up. I wanted to report this email scam.

+1

The scam cam through a text message from a random number to my iPhone, addressing me using my name, claiming to be Amazon. It says I “...came in 2nd in March’s Amazon pods raffle!” then provides a sketchy link consisting of random letters. I have not clicked the link so I could not say what comes after, just that it’s very untrustworthy.

The scam came in via text message to my iPhone using my name. It claimed to be “Amazon Bonus Credit” urging you to click the sketchy link (which was just random letters) before your “Bonus Credit” expires. It had spacing errors and I have not clicked on the link but did provide the url in this report. The scam message only came from a random number with no email or name attached (like Amazon support or any credible source)

I get messages like this:

(Name), you still have $100 Amazon Bonus credit: w1fbv.info/PB6W3U7fbl See what you can buy before it expires on 03/22 w1fbv.info/PB6W3U7fbl

I am reporting but have not given my info out. Just want to warn others.
