Amazon is going to deliver a package to the house and the customer needs to pay for the package once it arrives. Let caller know they have never ordered from Amazon and to stop calling.

- Griffin, GA, USA

I keep getting calls from Amazon. They say Amazon but I don't think so. They say there was a problem with a purchase I made that was over $200 and to press one to connect with someone. I did press one but no one was there. They were probably busy trying to scam someone else. They continue to call here.

- Painesville, OH, USA

Someone called my phone claiming to be Amazon and said that my account was comprised for $800. It wanted me to connect to an agent but I hung up the phone. I do not have an Amazon account.

people are calling saying they are going to take $90 out of our account

- Spring Hill, FL, USA

The caller said they were Amazon and there was a problem with my account and press 1

NUMEROUS calls saying there was a fraudulent charge on my amazon account of $729.

Recorded message of a woman saying I was going to be charged for an iPhone ordered off Amazon, and that they had my debit card, or "plastic card" information on file. I pressed the button to speak to a representative. Knowing it was a scam I said "Great. When will my new phone be arriving in the mail?" They hung up on me.

This happened 8/20. Rec'd email from Amazon with a "large purchase" $1999. for a computer. VERY AUTHENTIC-Looking. I called a tiny phone number at bottom of message "Any questions?" [BTW, I'm not easily scammed]. When I called the number,, I was on the phone talking to Amazon Fraud Dept., to deal with the scammers/fraud. Eventually let them in to "remote" my PC, while I watched. Very authentic Interpol, CIA live documents, maps, etc. After several hours, he transferred me to a co-worker who would replace the money that was charged back into my Amazon acct. I began to get a bit suspicious at this time. Since I had been talking the whole time with the first guy, I had asked questions about how they got into my account. He said the scammers can drive by and pick up signals from home wifi modems/routers, so I didnt think I could safely use my landline, cell phone, or devices. I drove to the Bank branch as soon as they opened the next morning. WHILE I was sitting with the bank manager, the scammers attempted a wire transfer for $5000. I reported to local police as I was instructed, who said they couldn't do anything because I caught it before actually losing any money. (I later did find $200 gift certificate and 2 more things that had been saved on my desktop were missing.)THE "AMAZON FRAUD DEPT" WERE THE SCAMMERS! I replaced all my bank accounts and credit cards. Geek Squad found programs on my PC added by hackers when they scrubbed it. I called Amazon. They sent me an email to say they don't have a Fraud Dept. The email they sent looked exactly like the first email i received from the scammers--down to the logo, the format, etc.

VERY CONVINCING SCAM!! I felt foolish.

Multiple calls came in from multiple different phone numbers claiming there was a problem with a 720 dollar charge on my cc from Amazon- very annoying- was in the middle of tele med visit with doctor and every phone call disconnected the doctor.

Claims to be from Amazon Prime stating can't finish delivery without account information

- Broadview Heights, OH, USA

I received a telephone call stating that it was from Amazon. The automated voice stated that they had received a charge for $1500 on my account, and that if I had made this charge, I needed to take no action. If I questioned the charge, I was to press “one“ to speak to a customer service representative. I immediately hung up from that call, and I then called Amazon customer service at their true number, and they verified that Amazon had not called me, and there was no $1500 charge made to my account. I suspect that had I followed the recorded instructions on the scam call, and pressed “one“, I would have had a virus installed on my phone, or the collar would have been able to somehow extract personal information from my phone or requested personal information from me.

I received a phone call from someone who said they were from Amazon and that they had noticed fraudulent activity on my account. They had me go to my computer, sign in and then give them control over my computer. They showed me a picture of a man they said was in Mexico and using my account. They had me check all my accounts, I got suspicious when they started asking for social security numbers. But in the mean time they had all my financial information. I logged out of my account and then right away contacted all our credit card companies, put a freeze on our checking account and reported it to the Credit Report companies. They were very, very good and believable. I hope that I have stopped every thing and so far no accounts have been touched. It is still a worry and I feel very taken!!!!

I;m not sure this is a scam----didn't respond to it. Was a thank you for my order (not mine) and showed a ship to address I know nothing about. I logged on to Amazon and checked my account. The supposed order was not there.

- Youngstown, OH, USA

claimed a purchase made in my amazon account for an iPhone 11. wanted my info. I looked up my account and no purchase was made. they hung up. I called amazon and reported it,

I get several calls from different phone numbers claiming to be Amazon stating that my card on file would be charged for various dollar amounts. Saying if you did not make this purchase

I was told there was a $729.00 dollar charge on my account from the Dayton, Ohio area. The caller wanted me to dial 1 one for help. The person wanted me to sign on to my computer and let them know when I completed that task. I refused to sign on and made an excuse to leave the call and call back later. That person gave me her name and number to call back. (Patricia Grao at 206-707-9266 ) I have not called back and do not intend to. They have called back at least 6 times since then.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA

I received the call from the above number saying that they were Amazon and wanted to know if I had made a $400 purchase. I told them I did not and they went on to say let me join your computer so that we can make an official order cancellation on this product before it is shipped out. They wanted me to open my bank account information on my computer at the same time that they had access to my computer I would not do that and So eventually the call fell apart. He asked me that I have a PNC bank account that they were trying to refund my $400 to and once I knew that they were using PNC and I didn't have a PNC account I disconnected them from my computer and disconnected the call.

I received an email from an Amazon imposter. The subject line states, "Fwd: [Update Information Billing] - Your Initial Membership has been "suspended", please update your payment !! within 12 hours Date & Time: Wednesday, 03 Febuary 2020: 04:33:44 (PST)." It includes an attachment which is a letter with the Amazon logo and "Payment Declined." It generically says, "Hello" and informs they that are having trouble authorizing your payment for the items below" (it doesn't list any items, and I haven't ordered anything). It asks me to click on a link that says "update your payment method." I did not click on it. A hyperlink says "learn more about resolving declined payments."
