The caller identified themselves as Amazon fraud detection. He said a purchase was made for $1257.99 using one of the credit cards I had on file with Amazon but the shipment was to be sent to 49 Arcadia Court, Albany, New York, 12205. When I told him I do not know anyone living at that address he said that confirmed the purchase was fraudulent. He then listed three banks that might have been used. One was the bank I use. He said he would transfer me to the fraud department of that bank. I was transferred to another person who claimed to be the bank's fraud department. This person began asking questions and I told her to hold a few minutes because I was using another line to call the bank and confirm the situation. She hung up.

I received a recorded phone call saying I had ordered an iPhone and needed to verify my purchase. This was on my business phone line I have not purchased an iPhone from Amazon. I called the number back, and the recording said they were Amazon. I explained the call to the guy. He said he needed my name to look up my information. I told him I had never had Amazon call me before and wasn't giving him my name. They called me. He hung up the phone with no explanation. They had me on hold for about a minute before answering. I have checked my Amazon account and there are no charges for an iPhone.

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the customer support services at amazon. He stated there was a purchase of apple air pods made with my number and he was calling to verify the purchase before its delivered by 2pm today. When I told him I didn't make this purchase, he said a friend or relative must have. I told him I had no friends or relatives and he switched to saying someone must have made a false account under my number but "dont worry, I can cancel the purchase for you". When asked what card was used, he told me he wasn't able to divulge sensitive information. He told me the the purchase was being mailed to 49 arcadia ct albany ny. I asked him to repeat slowly so I can look it up and found a similar scam listed on ScamPulse.com scam tracker. Which I told him this scam is showing up on the website with almost the same story. He didn't address that statement and told me he can cancel the order and proceeded to ask me for my zip code. I told him I wasn't going to release any personal information and gathered his likely fake information: William Green; Amazon ID DYC12205 and told him I would call the police and hung up.

I called a number that an order was erroneous. Then I heard a woman’s voice in the background “you’re going to jail”, then a man got on the line identified himself as ATF agent David Frank badge number 2118, then, he put another supposed agent on the line a Mark Sebastian badge 39069 and was told there was an arrest warrant for me and was to be incarcerated. If I pay a certain amount, I would be a free man. He pretended to be on the phone with the judge arguing in my favor that I wasn’t a criminal, that I was a victim of ID theft. Agent Sebastian said now I’m a free man and was to withdraw a certain amount of money, so he wanted $30000 after telling him how much money I had in the bank. Later he said said after I had the money that I was to meet a courier that would take the money after some passwords were exchanged and gave the courier the money.

Scammer sent me a legitimate looking Amazon email claiming my annual prime membership fee could not be charged because my default payment method was no longer valid. I knew my default payment methos was 100% valid so i knew this was a scam.

The scammers are using a return email address [email protected] which is a legitimate window company out of Arizona. This window is company has been in business for 70 year.

I did notify the company that their email address is being used in a scam.
