They were starting they were from Amazon trying to verify a purchase of a laptop and trying to get my bank information

• Jan 25, 2024

I got a text about a package from Amazon. I called back to find out what they wanted. A gentleman who said his name was Kevin Wilson answered saying he was with Amazon customer service. He had a thick accent. I cut him off quickly and told him that I didn't have an account. I pressed for information about where he was and he finally said Seattle, but that was all.

Received a call and they said to call back to receive a MacBook Air Pro that was charged to my amazon account for $1499. I called the number - 970-836-7186 and the woman answered "Amazon, how can I help you" Having dealt with Amazon before and hearing a LOT of background noise, I was suspicious. They tried to get personal information from me and i hesitated. Eventually I asked if this was a real thing or a fraud. They then hung up on me. I hope these losers are caught and go to jail. Honestly people.

Please press one to speak to our customer support representative... I called the number back. Someone answered, went thru their scrip. This is Amazon what is your name and telephone number, I said I'm not providing you any information, due to this maybe a phishing attempt, you contacted me. You should have the information solely base on my phone number you called. The so called representative hung up quickly... First, how rude ! Lol. Here's the number if you ever get a call from (479) 405-5248 out of Rogers AR. I've already block this number. Stay alert!!!

I am an amazon Associate and Product tester. I had been testing many products and one individual was supposedly doing a review and star rating activity this continued for over a month. I was provided with a prepaid Penfed Rewards card and assured it was registered in my name. I was then demanded and walked through Allowed purchases. card # ****************. I continued to complete expected tasks and was fully able to register and access the pen fed account so no flags were raised and seemed legit. I continued through my whole christmas purchases. Majority of things in the long run were not received or ordered by myself. I had eventually became questionable upon individual becoming antsy and rude. I stepped back from the communication and reported him and then immediately he had blocked me. It wasn't until December 26th, I woke up to my amazon account being on hold and all and any purchases I had made were disputed through Penfed. I have also wrote pen fed union explaining the activity due to non understanding of my compliance with this company on facebook called Amber Rose Canilao Cook, and 100% Free Gift, Communication through whats app eventually with the numbers of +44 7547 687625 and +44 7742 630482. hey also gained access to my banking and sensitive information and I am now attempting to sort or cancel my amazon account due to these issues. As an associate they gained access to my work account etc. I am writing in hopes that you can further investigate and so This doesn't happen to anyone else because now i'm about to lose everything and not funded well by the company enough to cover these charges. I have many many photos to provide as proof and evidence in hopes it helps any and all. I indeed explained to amazon due to severity that my husband as an amazon warehouse employee will walk if this isn't thoroughly investigated. I also after 11 years with MTURK and an associate will cease to work with them

On 12/12/2023 while trying to install the Amazon Firetv stick onto my Samsung smart tv an error code popped up with a error code number with the message someone from tech support would call me. Within two minutes i received a call who immediately asked for my email address. He then asked for personal identifying information. He then said i needed to subscribe for Prime Video with a 3 year cost of like $390. I told him i was already an Amazon Prime member and this membership is paid annually. He then said he would email me an invoice for $129 . When i opened this invoice in my email it looked like an official Paypal invoice.

Thinking this caller was Amazon tech support i entered my credit card information and clicked on the link. Turns out my payment was processed by Paypal. The caller then allowed me to finish the install process for my new Amazon Firetv stick 4 K as he asked me what i was seeing on tv screen. After the install was completed he gave me his phone number and extension as (209) 201-0786. Extension 102 and said to call him if i needed further assistance. Later i learned from my emails that someone from India tried to log into my Amazon account

but it was denied by Amazon. Im working with Paypal

to dispute the charge on my credit card and also with my credit card company.

The website said it was Amazon Returns, but when the email came it showed from halfpricewholesaler.com. When the charge hit my credit union it said VISA - 11/11 BAKEREPLY HONGKONG HK 011500. When I reached out via email, they said me package had been delivered to my address in New Jersey. I live in **** Utah. They kept emailing me that it had been received. I notified my credit union, froze that account but not until they had already taken $50.42 out of my account. I filed a complaint with my credit union and am waiting for their reply.

Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Order #1113-7918756-7561856 November 14,2023

Dear Amazon Customer Service,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the recent handling of my order #113-7918756-7561856, which was allegedly delivered on November 19,2023. Contrary to this information, the item was not received, leading me to believe it was falsely listed on your website.

Upon reporting the issue, I was dismayed by the resolution provided. The $299 refund did not include taxes and fees, and the absence of an apology was disheartening. Furthermore, the mere offer of a $5 inconvenience credit felt like a disrespect and insult, especially given the situation.

As a loyal customer who relies on Amazon’s reputation for reliability, this experience has been deeply upsetting. I had eagerly anticipated the arrival of the wheelchair for my elderly mother, only to discover it was, in fact, a fraudulent listing on your platform.

In light of these circumstances, I urge Amazon to reconsider its compensation approach. I believe a more appropriate resolution would be to offer a credit towards the purchase of a new wheelchair. This would help restore my faith in Amazon’s commitment to customer satisfaction and ensure that such incidents are addressed promptly and fairly.

I appreciate your immediate attention to this matter and hope for a swift and satisfactory resolution.

Sincerely,

[Patricia walker]

I received an email that appears to be from Amazon. I wondered if it was a scam. I have not ordered from Amazon in a long time. It stated I have charges against me. Stopped my account. They want me to log in. They provided a link but I did not click on.

They say they were Amazon and asked if we had placed an order and I said yes. They asked if anyone else used our account and I told them we only use it. They said just a moment and the call dropped. I can not put the number they called from…I deleted before thinking .

Consumer received a call from +31647752558 claiming to be Amazon. They noted he had a charged for $1200.00 and wanted to verify that the consumer made the purchase. He pressed "1" to note it wasn't his purchase. A person came on line and mentioned a couple of banks and he selected his; the fraudster forwarded him to what they said was his bank so he could let them know of the fraudulent charge. Once speaking with his "bank" he determined it was probably NOT the bank and said so. The person he was talking began to get mad and argumentative; he said he was going to hang up and call the number he knew was the bank. He call them and they told him it was a fraud, he was sent to their Fraud Dept. and filed a complaint.

The advertisement stated that a warehouse had stored merchandise (in this case, whiskey) in spaces that were no longer funded and had to be removed or sold, at a huge discount, of course. My order was for 4 different whiskey products, totaling $39.96. The order # 231116074006866 was noted on the Amazon invoice. Return email address noted was "WWW.swirlinn.com/orders/IL-uhEBsZOAGtUk8PJDR6A", dated 15 Nov 2023, 4:46 PM. An email receipt (#1420-5366) was then received from "SHINEEY INC" with a return email address of: "[email protected]". I will ask AMEX to cancel this purchase.

Scammer recording said someone tried to purchase a chromebook on my Amazon account I hung up checked my account nothing was ordered they try to get you to disclose your bank information

- Salem, OR, USA • Nov 20, 2023

Within the past 10 days, I have received about 10 packages delivered in Amazon bags or boxes. There are only two items, but they are being sent in duplicates: wigs, of which I've received about 6 (I don't have time to open all the packages now) and some type of cleaning brush thing, which are being sent to me in piles.

I contacted Amazon via chat last weekend and learned that they found a fake Amazon account with my name and address but someone else's phone number. On that account were the items I had reported so far. They sent me a link to a reporting form, but I have heard nothing else from them. I am concerned about continuing to receive more packages and having reviews posted with my name.

I will continue to try and reach Amazon by phone but wanted to document this for now.
