I received a call from James Anderson with Bank of America saying I had won $850,000. He transferred me to the bank manager. He said the money could be delivered to my door, but there would be a $199 fee to transfer it to a Visa card. She told me to call her back at 800-422 (or 432)-1000. I called her back and was given a confirmation /tracking number 0034350305 which is the number my money is being held under. She said in order for them to deposit the winnings, she would need my banking information. I told her I would have to get back to her. She told me to call her tomorrow.

Received letter from "Bank of America" stating "unfortunately, after multiple attempts to notify you, it appears that our emails to you are being returned as "undeliverable". States I need to update it. Gave website bankofamerica.com and phone number 800-933-6262. No account number on the notice. Googled the Bank of America phone number and it's different so came to ScamPulse.com website and found the same phone number as the scam you list. I did not contact this phone number

I received a text from Bank of America but the phone number was the same from a call I got earlier that same day saying they were the Better Business Bureau. The text says:

Bank Fraud Alert: Did you approve a transaction for the amount of $200? Reply yes or no to approve or deny the transfer. Then call this number +1(888)581-2071 to verify.

Contacted me on the cell phone about strange transactions from my BoA account to someone in Brooklyn via Zelle. Four separate transfers equal to $3500.

I told them that I did not have a BoA account and that I did not authorize any transaction.

The "cancelled" the transaction then forwarded me to some other person who asked me to log into the Bank account that I used Zelle on. Told them I was at work and could not do this at this time. He told me that the transactions were on hold until I contacted them and could log into Zelle. They gave me a number 980-324-4599 to call them back at and a transaction number.

Hung up and checked my account and Zelle. No transactions were pending only the ones I did in the past. Good Try!

The number I saw on the phone is BoA number so not sure if they spoofed it.

- Renton, WA, USA

It's a Phishing email with a fake phone number and website link. I did not click on the link but it's obviously a Phishing scam to get personal information.
