Got a text that said this is Bank of America and you have some suspicious activity on your account. This has happened before and we'll of course I responded no. Immediately got a call from Bank of America saying there is suspicious activity and we need to transfer funds from one account to another using zelle with my phone number. My phone number is linked to my personal Bank of America account so I did. The individual provided a case# and employee ID and so began the process. They took 4,000 from my business account and asked me to follow up in two hours with Bank of America. I did that and when I spoke to Bank of America they said they said it wasn't them that called. They transferred me to their zelle department and then began the questioning with condensing response on how this was my fault and how I could be a fool to allow this to happen.

Needless to say 2 months later and still can't get an update or my money back.

Received text message from “Bank of America” asking if I had approved a $3,500 Zelle transfer. I responded “No”. Then I was called and told some had created a Zelle account with my mobile number and the only way to stop the fraud was to “transfer” $3,500 to myself/ fraudster’s account and then it would be reversed. I asked how I knew this was Bank of America fraud. Their response was that the number they were calling from would match the back of my debit card. I said I wanted to hang up and call back but their response was that we had to do this within 30 minutes or my money would be gone. I feel like an [censored].

Phone call from someone claiming to be from Bank of America came through and told the consumer that she can lower her credit card debt if she provides her credit card number to the caller. The consumer refused to give her personal information and she was hung up on.

I received a text message from phone number 484-389-8808 at 4:18am EST on 02/23/2020 which stated "Free Msg: BofA Fraud - For your protection, a hold has been placed on your ATM/debit card. Please call 1.877.247.7382 to verify your account." I believe this is a fraudulent message.

I was relaxing on the couch last night when I got a text message that said "Your Bank of America Online-ID has been locked due to failed login attempts. Tap on http://bit.do/ffkLq?3 to reinstate and update your profile. Ref: my cell phone number." I didn't click on the link. But I thought about going to our account and seeing if there was any indication that it had actually been locked. Then I remembered seeing something about a scam like this. Beware!
