The caller had a heavy Indian accent. Called my work phone #, asked for me by name & asked if i was in the accounting dept. at my company, to which I answered "yes". The line immediately disconnected afterwards.

Called personal cell phone and immediately launched into loud talking and immediately said "can you hear me" which being elderly and just coming from the doctor I said "yes" and then immediately screamed no, no, no and hung up.

The caller said "Hi, this is Josh from Customer Service. Can you hear me?" Then I hung up.

The recording said, "Hi, this is Josh from customer service. Can you hear me okay?" I have heard this is a trap to get the receiver to say, "Yes", then they record it and use the response to indicate you have ordered a product.

This was an attempted scam. The caller told me my warranty was about to expire, then said can you hear me? I replied "I can". She continued to talk and asked if I wanted to talk to someone regarding this. I said no because I recognized this was a scam I had heard about. When I said no the phone went dead. I had heard they were recording your voice and later using it to saying it was proof you had ordered whatever it is they are selling. I did not buy anything but I'm sure they recorded my voice.

Answered the phone since the number displayed was a local number. The male on the other end said "Hi, this is ?, can you hear me OK?" I instinctively said "Yes" but then immediately hung up as I remembered the report of this scam on the news the other day. I then called my cell phone provider, AT&T to report the scam so they could make a note on my account. Please advise if there is anything else I need to do to protect myself from this scam.

Phone call originated with the caller saying "This is customer service. Can you hear me?" Said yes then was told that you had won.... At that point I hung up having remembered the "can you hear me scam". Assumed was from someplace had done business with, but fell for the 'can you hear me' scan.

I hung up after I answered "No." I would like the BBB to investigate this number. I hope I do not have any problems. Not sure if he attempted to take money, but I am answering "Yes" below. I filed a report with Do Not Call Registry.

Caller waits for you to say hello, then pretends they can't hear you by saying hello again. As soon as you say yes they hang up..... I tried returning the caller back and it is a bad number that does not ring, stays silent and then makes a busy signal..... This was very likely phishing scam to see if my number was valid to receive more sales calls.

-Stated that the call would be monitored for quality assurance

-When asked, she stated that the company wasn't affiliated with a particular car dealership

-When asked how she got my telephone number, she stated "that would be a question for the marketing department."

-When asked to be transferred to marketing, the phone disconnected.

I got a call from the number listed above and all the said was "Can you hear me". I didn't answer the phone. The scammer left that response in a voicemail. The number came from Rossville Georgia

Received a call stating she was "Riley". I know a Riley but was in an area and thought I got disconnected. She called back about 5 minutes later and asked "Is this ???" and I said YES at which time she hung up.
