I called XFINITY to ask why my television wasn’t connecting to WiFi. After speaking with an agent my password was immediately reset. My bill was past due and my autopay method didn’t have the funds. I inquired about ApplePay and was to it wasn’t possible. He then asked for my credit card info. He said it declined twice and two charges for Asia Pacific Intl Colg. He tried assuring me it wasn’t them. I disconnected the call.

Received email. Saying pymt was denied by bank. Bank said they had acct # wrong. I contacted xfinity by phone was put thru to online rep, finally got to a live person, explained the issue, he said he could fix it immediately so i gave my bank account #. I thought all was good with xfinity but got a 2nd email a month later sayin bank rejected. I dug deeper and xfinity has never heard of this co. They have called me several more times as if they represent xfinity, trying to explain themselves. The man I spoke to was named Keven Barker, he is the one who took my bank #. They did withdraw a total of $215. I threatened to sue and file fraud charges, they returned the money. However they should not be allowed to misrepresent themselves as Xfinity Internet

I had a tech support rep call me and tell me my internet was running slow. They accessed my modem remotely then started to send themselves money using the cash app. Once I noticed what was going on I immediately unplugged my modem and took out my computer. Since then they keep sending me links for driving directions I never asked for, after I pay my bill I will get an email asking me to change payment methods, which is entirely fake. Clearly Comcast either has employees stealing information or they are selling it themselves.

The scammer claims to work as a Tech support agent for Xfinity and asked for credit card information to fix the Internet connection. After the connection was in fact fixed, our bank account was drained completely of funds just shortly after. We reported to Xfinity fraud department and they said agents do not ask for credit card information over the phone.

I received a really convincing email from what appeared to be Xfinity.com temporarily suspending our service. I then remembered that I don't do business with Xfinity and I noticed the email was from [email protected] which does not sound legit. Totally a scam.

I originally Googled "xfinity customer service" and found the phone number that I provided in the form. This person pretended, I realize now, to be an xfinity customer service agent, and he had identifiable information from me (including my 2-step verification number for the xfinity account on file). He pretended to schedule a cancellation for my xfinity service (not verifying whether my new address was part of their network or not), including a "cancellation fee." I asked to use the card on file, as he said my charge would be for the final bill--which I had just paid the prior week--and the cancellation fee. I was very distracted and should have immediately hung up when he said he could not use the card on file and needed a different one. Alas. I provided my card number, including security code and expiration date, and he pretended to confirm with his accounting department that the charge would go through. When we got disconnected, he called me back at the following number: 517-639-1595. When my credit card company flagged the charge as suspicious, I almost hung up on him again, but then he asked me to approve the charge.

This was a fishing call wanting me to call their number to extend a discount. I have never done business with xfinity.

- Elgin, IL, USA • Apr 09, 2024

I searched for a customer service number for Xfinity on Google search. I selected the first number that popped up. I called it. There was a strange message while I was on hold. It sounded like it was on fast forward. They answered. He said his name was Jason. I told them I called to update them for my account billing. I verified my information. They also asked for the last 4 of my social security number. Then they asked for a verification code that was sent to my phone. I gave it to him. He then told me that it would cost $79.95 for the change to my account to take effect. I told him I didn't have the money at this time. I then ended the call. I found another phone number for Xfinity customer service. I called to double check to see if this was correct information that I received. I discovered that it was not a verification code but a reset code for my account. The scammer changed my payment method and the email address associated with my account. I spoke with the Xfinity security department. Everything has now been corrected for my account.

I thought I was talking to Xfinity ,but was talking to a scammer instead.I was told to cancel my xfinity I would have to pay a cancellation fee.I didn’t know that the company doesn’t charge a fee at all.And I had given the person my debit card information.my bank sent me an alert thats when I found out that I had been scammed.

I kept getting repeated calls from Comcast. I finally answered. The caller said they were from Comcast Infinity asked if I was “my name” - I said yes like an [censored]. The call dropped shortly after. Is this a scam? Should I be worried?

- Cape Coral, FL, USA • Feb 13, 2024

We thought we called Xfinity and they represented themselves as Xfinity. They knew a lot of the correct information about us, so they somehow have access to Xfinity's files.

Even sent us a secure text. We gave our Credit card information to get the service we wanted and were told our TV would work in an hour.

Never worked and when we finally got in touch with the real xfinity they explained that this was a scam.

We contacted our credit card company and replaced the cards and disputed the $130 charge. We have received our money back.

I did some additional research on the charge from Direct Bill Discounts LLC to find the llc was created in July of 2023 and showing and address at a residential home in Commerce City CO.

The company tried calling me again and when I answered and said they were a scam the same guy (Roy) said yes we are and we know where you live and and your personal information. Tried threating me and to intimidate me.

There should be a way to shut that LLC down or not allow them to run credit cards.

They should go to jail for falsely impersonating Xfinity.

Pretended to be Comcast customer service agent. Hacked into my Comcast account. Attempted to collect my bill not yet due of $152. Call ended but not before scammer seeing my full Comcast account.

- Pittsburgh, PA, USA • Nov 25, 2023

Scammer claimed to be Xfinity Support alerting me that my recent payment was declined and my service would be canceled unless I updated my payment method using the link provided.

Email came from [email protected]

They are a scam. I got a call from a number 209-266-0076 (which appears to be a new number they are calling from) and then told me to call 866-969-1771 to get a special discount on my Xfinity. They left a voicemail and the number has now been blocked by me! They are NOT Xfinity. They are scammers who want you to send them money and steal your information. DO NOT give these people anything! Don't give them any of your personal information!

- Lynchburg, VA, USA

I was called by someone who said she worked for XFinity.  She told me if I qualified for a promotion that would lower my minthly bill for two years. All I had to purchase a Target gift card for $340 and then call her back.

- Christiansburg, VA, USA

I got a phone call from someone claiming to be from Xfinity. They said I could save a bunch of money on my bill just by going to Target and buying a $430 gift card and calling them back with the numbers off of the card. I did this 3 times and then they wanted me to do it again for a $1,000 gift card and I knew something wasn't right.

The scammer claimed they were Xfinity and would set up services. They asked for my SS# and were very rude. I called Xfinity back to confirm and that is how I identified this scam. Beware phone number 1-844-207-8722 on the internet posing as Xfinity is fraud.

Called to saying you can get your bill reduced. Uses operator that is similar to xfinity. I suspect it is being used to get people payment information

Falsified an xfinity/ target promotion asking for a target gift card to seal the deal!
