I agreed and signed the contract that was provided by DBC Limited, it including an $18,000 capital investment, a hard cost of $300 a month as well as revenue sharing of 30%. After approximately 3 months of ageing (the store being active, but no items listed, which I was told was necessary) I had my first sales. It was very exciting. I was told the store would ramp up slowly and after about a month of little sales, my numbers jumped incredibly. Those first two months totaled more than 100K in sales and several thousands in profit. However, my Amazon metrics were performing poorly and Amazon suspended the store shortly after the 3rd month of selling items (about six months in). It took several days for my store to be reactivated and I was told the store would have to age again prior to ramping up.
After the first suspension and while still in the aging time period, my Amazon store was suspended a second time due to DBC's inability to maintain Amazon required metrics. Approximately 10 days later Amazon lifted the 2nd suspension, but DBC put the store into a sleep mode, while they updated their processes and software. I was contacted about a month later, that the update was complete and was told I had to sign up for additional software, which cost approximately $300 a month. I was this far in, so I agreed and paid for the software.
Today is 9/16/2022, my store was suspended by Amazon for a 3rd time on 6/30/2022, again due to lagging metrics, but this time it has not been reactivated. Outside of those first two months the store did not turn a profit or come close to covering DBC's management fees. I spoke to an Amazon rep directly, there is little chance my store is ever active again.
DBC sold me an automated store with a management team, my store was suspended three times and had two profitable months since 5/1/2021. In addition to the capital investment, all of the profit made in the first two months as well as any float monies I had available for the store have been consumed by DBC for management fees. Prior to the stores final suspension, I informed DBC they were in violation of our terms of agreement within the contract. After seeing the first two suspension, it was easy to identify the path my store was on would lead to a 3rd suspension, which I was attempting to prevent. However, DBC did not make any changes to their processes, so either they violated the operating on good faith clause within our contract or they do not have the ability to provide the services in which they sell. Either way, this is fraudulent behavior, do not invest.
Thanks,
Evan
