Scammer emailed a Request for Quote for exactly what we do. Asked that we include shipping TX to NJ from DropBox Shipping (also a scam company). Made a deposit via credit card so shipping was paid for. A day after the credit card payment was reversed. Scammer asked for ACH details to send payment, sent a receipt for the ACH transfer, but it was never made. We closed our account and filed a complaint with the bank's Fraud Dept to try to recoup the money sent to the shipper. We also filed a report with the FTC.

John wood contacted me via phone offering to provide funds for parts. And ask me to wire him $8000. And he would pay another $12,000 which he never did. He has since not answered any of my emails, and his phone number has been disconnected.

We were contacted by "John Wood" through email for a large job. He had prints and everything. When we sent the estimate he asked we use the shipping company www.stgermainshippingco.com St. Germain Shipping. The shipping company didn't respond so it delayed us sending "John" a quote for the project. I emailed the shipping company and finally got a quote. Then he changed the order and wanted two shipping quotes. Finally, I spoke on the phone with him and he offered 40% down when we only required 30%. He had a very heavy African accent. I couldn't understand stand him. I had sent him the link to pay the 30% down and he stated that he needed to pay over the phone. Looking back there are so many red flags but when speaking to our advisors, everyone said it was fine if they were going to pay us, it isnt a scam. Well, I took the payment over the phone and he even gave me authorization over an email. The card went through and he asked again and again how long it would take. I told him 8 weeks and then the next day the shipping company emailed me saying they needed us to lock our quote in. Then the fake customer emailed me with the same exact wording a grammatical errors asking for me to lock in the price with the shipping company. I couldn't contact anyone there and they never called me. He keeps calling but never leaves voicemail. He also emailed asking me to pay the shipping company. I finally got smart and googled the shipping company name. We were able to stop the material order but now we have this fraudulent money in our account. We are filing police report and also filed fraud with respective banks. He is still emailing me and calling.

Same story as above. Contacted us for a large job, wanted us to arrange shipping through St. Germain Shipping. Offered 70% down without us requesting it.

Did a search and this site came up. Just sent the link to this site back to him.
Thank you all!

John Wood with Duls Engineering at 100 Glenborough Dr Houston TX
77067 [email protected] www.dulsenf.com on his email asked for a quote for a large order. We called him. He had a very heavy African accent. Got upset when I couldn't understand stand him.asking him to please repeat the information due to his accent. We provided the quote, he approved it. Today I received an email asking for us to contact the shipping company for pricing from Oh to our facility then to their project site in Jacksboro TX at www.stgermainshippingco.com. Emailed him.back that we do not provide that. It is the customers responsibility to handle that. We have not heard back from him.

Was contacted via email by someone claiming to have been calling me. They would not leave a voicemail. They seemed to want to handle everything on the phone. I was asked to provide a quote for a large quantity order. I provided my pricing and was told to get a freight quote from a third-party company. I became suspicious because this company supposedly had a relationship with this freight company and provided me with all of the information I needed to provide them, yet somehow I was supposed to obtain the quote. Anyhow, I am all about customer service, so I did as asked. I was then asked to add the freight amount into my quote. The person then immediately moved to pay me a deposit I hadn't asked for. The credit card was declined. I became suspicious and searched the company name. The website doesn't make any sense. They chose to fake a company in an industry I worked for two and a half decades in. Then I saw that the scam has been played on others here. The person is still using the name James Jackson, and still has the same African accent as described by others.

Requested a quote for welded frames. I submitted the quote, and the email bounced. I looked up a phone number for this company to reach out to the individual calling himself James Jackson, but no phone number existed and I become suspicious. Then I came across this ScamPulse.com post stating that the same thing happened to them.

Started with a product inquiry pretending to be an engineering firm. Wanted to use a fake shipping company and have us pay them directly. They wanted to pay us with a credit card, which I am assuming is stolen. Used the name Jim Thompson.

Email was sent to our general mailbox, correspondence occurred and then wanted to handle payment on the front end with a credit card. Upon further review, it was identifiable that this was a fraud transaction as there is no business data online for this company.

- Meadville, PA, USA

Scammer claimed to want a weldment fabricated. Wanted to order on a verbal PO and use a third party shipping company.

- Houston, TX, USA

Same exact experience as described. The address showed based out of Houston, Tx, but when we asked where we would be shipping the product he said to Stockholm, Sweden using a third party freight carrier he provided. Looked up Houston location on Googlemaps and no listing of Duls Engineering. When going to enter the credit card information our system gave an error message saying the information did not match name, zip etc. He then quickly said "okay lets use a different card." Sounds like he has several stolen credit cards and pulls this off all the time. Stay away.

Customer emailed requested pricing for a product that well offer. Pricing was provided. Customer asked for revised pricing to increase order. Order was approved by customer by a caller with a strong "Continental African" accent, claims to be "James J. Jackson". No record of this person online. Attempted to place order without needing the typical review documents. Offered to pay with Credit Card. Attempted to use a 3rd party freight company. Called Leasing Agency for the address of the business...no record of this Duls Engineering as a tenant. The website for Duls Engineering claims to have 900 employees, there is not one person on LinkedIn that is claiming to work for this company. There is no social media presence for the company.
