I was contacted by a relative that her friend had posted a job opportunity on Facebook. When I reached out to her friend, she told me to download an app called Telegram messenger to take an online interview via messaging with an interviewer with the supposed name of Nic Herndon. After going through their questions and supposedly getting hired for a remote position, I went through the supposed background check where I put in my SSN and pictures of my driver's license. They also had me open an IRS account using ID.me which I have since closed out. Towards the end of the process they asked me for pictures of my debit card so they could apparently charge a $30 to $50 charge in order the identify me and send me the check for the equipment I was supposed to purchase to perform the job. At this point I told them I would not give them that information and ceased talking with them. Before deleting the app back of my phone, they sent one more message trying to get my bank info so they could potentially put the check in my account I believe. After this a friend of mine contacted Transperfect Translations and found out they are aware of this scam. Also, I contacted the person who was initially supposed to have posted this position on Facebook and found out this was a compromised account and I had been talking with the scammers the whole time. I have frozen all three of my credit reporting accounts, closed the ID.Me account as I specified above, and reported the issue to you, the IRS and the FTC so far.

I am concern about Job Search Scams. I received a phone call from ****** **** Recruitment Agency, *** ******* ***** *****, Mo. *****. The agent name was xxxxxx. She asked for my resume, so I uploaded it to a previous email I received from her and asked for a receipt request. When the receipt request returned an attachment was with it that opened up all my computer's personal files. This is very unusual and I would like to know how and why did this happen?

I was sent this text message concerning an application i filled out saying they reviewed my resume for Data Assistant the message said "Greetings, I'm Mrs Lauren Snipes from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices! currently reaching out to you in regards to your resume being approved for the Remote position of Data entry/Administrative assistance role with us, with a pay rate of $35 per hour.  add the HR manager Mrs Mary Keifer “@marykeifer” on TELEGRAM and send a message to commence the online interview/briefing and comprehensive job details ASAP,Your job code is V101. Best Regards. Thank you!" So I contacted the person through the TELEGRAM app and we discussed the job duties they stated that they would provide the fees for someone to cone out and hook up the desktop work station and the things I needed like "You will need Accounting software programs and a Time Tracker to begin your training and orientation and most importantly, you need the software to get started with work as soon as possible.

NOTE: The work of the time tracker is to evaluate your working hours from the company's server for payment purposes as this will be an online/remote position until the branch is commissioned.

Here are the names of the software programs you will need to start work with:

Sage 50 Cloud Accounting Software,  CYMA IV Accounting Software, MYOB Business Essentials Accounting Software, QuickBooks Pro Accounting Software, Desktop publishing software, Employee scheduling software, LibreOffice Productivity Suite (Customised), and a Time Tracker" I did give them my name and address and bank name but not my ssn or account information then i started getting suspicious because I Don't know any work from home jobs that pays 25 to thirty five dollars an hour... but the messages ended they advised me to make a message in the morning but i wanted to aak more questions so when I did send a message trying to ask the questions i seen they read my message but didn't reply.. so i came here to ScamPulse.com and found a few reviews that matched the same thing I was told. This is definitely a scam

Company advertised job on Facebook. I did what the other person did, gave them my social security number and address. They sent checks to me "to pay for the computer equipment I would use", but I didn't try to deposit them. I did not give them my signature, and i didn't facetime with them, so they don't have my face image. I think it's an identity phishing scam.

Said they found my resume online and asked if I was interested in a data entry position with their company. I went through an interview via the teams app, after saying I was interested. They promised $32 an hour for data entry role for full time. I answered a series of questions via teams and then they reviewed my answers. After an hour or so I receive communication from them stating I passed their questions and are ready to offer me a position. They sent me an offer letter and asked me to return it the same day. I asked for a couple of days to which they stated normally they don’t allow that but because it was a Friday they would give me to Monday. I did not sign the letter and have followed up with them about the validity of the role and this complaint. I will update once I get that information on Monday.

Social Stash advertises and makes claim that you can make $500 a day, doing surveys, testing apps, etc. Social Stash is a website not an app. People are always skeptical about these kind of apps and websites and are very hesitant to use them. When you enter the site you are offered a $40 sign up bonus which is deposited to your account instantly. Because you have so many apps that make the same claim but never produce any results, seeing the $40 dollars deposited in to your account almost instantly fires you up. You start doing the available task with a new energy. I mean the site did what it said it was going to do instantly! Right? So you complete task after task and watch the money on you account add up. It's unbelievable! You're actually getting paid to take surveys, play games, and test app! The accumulation of money at such a fast rate has you scrambling to earn more. You even share the invite link via FB. And lo and behold! Everytime some clicks your link you get paid! Well I had hit around $722 and said what the hell, I'm cashing out. I hit withdraw. No problem. I was asked for the log in info for my method of payment. I chose Cashapp. No problem. I provided my cash tag and boom! Problem! Due to some users trying to use bots to earn money unfairly we require that you complete a minimum "workload" before you can cash out your account. And if course the minimum is maximum! So be aware of Social Stash. It's a scam! The developers get unsuspecting users to come in and do all this work that they get paid for! The users spend all their time completing tasks, sharing links, and doing surveys that they will never get paid for because of the minimum requirements the site has set in place. Beware!

they emailed me a check for supplies then said to go and make copies of it and do a mobile check deposit. I though that was weird. I called my bank and asked them about if companies here in California do that kind of stuff, and he replied yes (boy was he wrong) so I told the guy to make sure you make a note on my account stating what I asked and what you told me. anyway I did what was asked of me. then there was another checked email and I had to do the same thing. I asked how come the company doesn't just order and mail them to me and her reply was I can get them faster. Anyway, after about 4 different checks I then had to go to a bit coin and send the money to a business for 3 - 4 different amounts. In about 2 days later I started getting notices that the checks were returned "no such account number". I went to talk to my bank and the guy I talked to, never put the note and my bank closed my account and I couldn't pay my bills and I haven't been able to get a job. My credit is ruined because I couldn't pay my credit cards. I moved to California thinking I had this job and it was a scam. 5 1/2 months and I am still trying to get a job, I still have all the receipts of the payments that I sent thru bit coin.

I was approached with a remote job opportunity making $37.55 an hour. The 'interviewer' was named Erika Johnston. It was supposedly for a green company and all equipment was to be provided except a few. She stated it was to be purchased thru a 'local' vendor but when I asked the vendor's name, i was told 'that is to be determined'. She did not ask for my social or anything, just my name and address. She proceeded to tell me it is $534 partial payment for said equipment. I told her to take my name off the list and stated I would be making a police report
