I responded to a job post on LinkedIn, and was hired immediately with an offer that sounds too good to be true.

They emailed me requesting my bookkeeping services in order to take care of weekly payment for some subcontractors. Then asked me to spend in some office supplies like blank checks, printer, etc. then every Friday they/he email me a list of subcontractors with their names, phish al address as well as a bank info to create the checks, print them and mail them with tracking numbers. So far I’ve paid more than 10k to those pretending subcontractors and I haven’t received any money for my work. Almost all subcontractors address and banks info do really exist so Ive could proceed to print and mail the checks but the one to pay to me has been rejected for my bank. So ha made me believe that he/she/they’re using my services to laundry money at my own expenses.

I received a text message regarding a data entry job paying 25 dollars and hour which I did not recall applying for. The message asked me to join a Teams Link for an interview with a Tommy Seth Hiring manager after searching this person on LinkedIn the profile that came up was a profile that had sent me a connection request a few days prior and certainly not a hiring manager or any company I applied to.

Exact same thing as the other person who experienced this. Saw a job poster in my college, unsure about why my college allowed this scam job to be posted. Sent them an email. Scammer first texted me using a fake phone number, then asked for an interview using Skype. Scammer texted very strangely, like a robot. I thought it would be a phone/video call, but the interview was purely texts, and the scammer sometimes repeated questions that was already asked before. In the end, I got the job. Was asked to purchase some stuff, searched them up and was confused because I couldn't exactly find them online. I told them this, and they said don't worry, ask [email protected] for the materials, they will let you know the cost and send them to you with your name customized on them. Now I will block them. Please protect yourselves guys.

They pretend they are an advertisement company. They get you to do ‘tasks’ and then you get $,84.00 but to continue working for them, you have to ‘top up’ your account to $110.00. Obviously this makes no sense., but imagine how many people fall for this. There is also another company doing this trying to portray that they are working for Bookings website. And you’re supposed to do fake reviews. These people are so sick. I hope you can shut them down..

They first contacted through an online WhatsApp message offering a job. They provided link to login and job required making some deposits and completing tasks. after completing the task, all deposits plus commission can be withdrawn. It continued for a few weeks until I sinked so much money but could not withdraw any money eventually. They have whatsapp group of 22 people of mostly ontario numbers but could be same one or few people.

I could literally copy and paste the other complaint on this Robert Cooper. I'm so angry with myself for giving him a copy of my license and social security card.

They asked me to open a personal checking account for investments. It all seemed fine and good, I started writing reports, making them sales lists... regular work throughout the first week.

Then they wanted me to open a personal bank account, ask for the account withdrawal limits ... and I smelled fish right there, and berated them, and I'm looking for other employment. I doubt they are legitimate, asking their employees to ... do business through their own bank accounts. That doesn't seem right. So I told them I will work for them if I get paid, I'll do actual WORK, but I will not pull out cash or any nonsense, that's where I draw the line. I don't know if they're fraudulent or not. I'm not a financial professional. So I'll leave it to the experts.

I was contacted about a data entry position after applying on indeed. I downloaded the signal app which I thought was weird. Then from there went through the process when they said they needed my name and address to send me a check to be able to purchase my equipment as well as a video of me stating that I wasn’t going to use the money for anything else. And that the equipment would be mine after a year.

Individual claiming to be Robert Cooper, the Customer Service Manager at Pro-Tech Solutions. The email, from Mr. Cooper, detailed a job opportunity for a Customer Service Officer within their organization. It was emphasized that this position was unrelated to sales, and additional job information was provided in a Description pdf file, which was attached. The email encouraged me to express my interest by completing an online form, stating that an automated email containing more information had been sent to my email address. It was advised to diligently fill out all fields on the form, as their HR Manager would subsequently contact me for a phone interview. Mr. Cooper indicated that I should contact him if I did not receive the link to the online form. The remuneration offered was stated as $3,200 per month for part-time and $4,000 per month for full-time positions, with payments made on a monthly basis. Mr. Cooper also offered to address any inquiries via email. The contact information provided for Pro-Tech Solutions included the following: Name: Robert Cooper Title: Customer Service Manager Address: 355 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10017, USA Phone: (888) 765-2095 It is noteworthy that their website, located at https://protechsolutions.info/, was registered in Germany in August 2023. The phone number listed on their website, (888) 765-2095, appeared to be non-responsive, either ringing indefinitely during the day or answering briefly before hanging up after hours. The phone interview come from 718-502-8952 & 718-502-8982. One of these numbers is traceable. Subsequently, I received a phone call from an individual with a heavy foreign accent, claiming that I had been accepted for the job offer. This marked the commencement of my training, during which I was instructed to communicate via Telegram and their web email at https://business143.web-hosting.com. Throughout the training period, I was assigned various tasks each day, such as creating a FAQ, conducting competitor research, during my research i found the Scam Alert when i was searching for services that Pro-Tech Solutions offered. The complaint is exactly what I am going through. Unfortunately, they did get a copy of my Driver's License.

A job posting was made on FaceBook by the user "Jerry Washington". He claimed to be hiring for a remote data entry job "Urgently". I messaged him months ago about it and only heard back recently. It had been about about 2-3 months since I messaged him. He directed me to another number of someone who was the "Interview manager". They asked me questions about the job and my experience, it seemed normal, except for them wanting me to fill out a forum that asked for my location, drivers license photos, and social, which I only gave my last 4 to. I was told that I was hired and to continue the process they'd need me to open a bank with NorthWest Bank and give them the login information. I made the account and gave them the wrong information by mistake, however when I asked if I could do it another way rather than giving them my new bank information they seemed to get angry and insist it was the company policy. They also were able to show me a company ID card with someone named "Paul Roberts". I don't know if it's faked but it is very interesting evidence.

They posted jobs under a business claiming to not be hiring, and when I accepted the zoom meeting it was a travel agent scam. It was not the job listing I had applied for and she even made a point during the seminar to show all the "job titles you might have applied for" in a side menu.

A person named Sybil Furman contacted me to book travel for 4 people from Ghana to Dubai to gather materials for a hotel project. I am not yet an accredited agent, i am still taking courses. I found it suspicious so i sent an email to the address on the company page, and the same Sybil Furman responded now claiming to be the owner. All of the images on the website are stock photos, and the appearance is suspect.

Would not tell me plain regarding the job offer and sent conflicting emails regarding offers of employment and statements that they were no longer pursuing me as an employee. Someone seems to be intimidating me? But idk for certain. I spoke with them on my lunch break about a second job and I don’t have the money or time for this security concern ?? I really hope I’m wrong about this being a scam but I think it might be.

I get emails like this on a daily basis and calls at all hours from these "recruiters".

The Jobs are always not the same state I am in and subpar pay.

I've attempted to remove myself from their database and they never comply.

The unsubscribe button on these emails always fails, due to possibly being fraudulent.

Greetings,

Hope you are doing well.
