I asked about a job offer I saw a friend post on Facebook and was told to contact the hiring manager at the above email address on google chat. After a lengthy interview of about an hour I was hired. He asked for photo id and my name, address, phone, and email. Also asked what bank i want for direct deposit. Did not ask for bank info, just the name. Then told me i needed to send 100.00 for the shipping of my materials but would get refunded on first paycheck. I said I did not have that available. He started asking if I have paypal or zelle, etc. I went back to the person who referred me who is a friend and she said yes she paid the fee through zelle. Its a friend so i was trusting and thought at this point it was okay. Now that i look back though i think this friend was hacked and it was not her i really was speaking to. The hiring manager then said i could put it on a credit card and asked for the credit card. I did give him that. But then he said he couldn't do it that their machine wasn't working so i had to send via a pay app. I logged into my paypal but wasn't able to set up the card in there. I told him I have no other pay apps i use. HE started getting pushy then told me to go to the grocery store and buy an apple card and call him back with the number. I said i couldn't go as it now was 10:00 at night. We were supposed to be done with the interview at 8:30ish. He then said to go first thing in the morning and then contact him back. IT just really started getting suspicious when we was so pushy and adamant about sending the money. So now i am worried because he has my personal info , my credit card, bank name, and i logged into my bank and paypal while on the phone so not sure if he could get that info through my phone.
